Makita Corp Amends Full-year Consolidated Outlook for FY 2014

Makita Corp announced that it has raised its full-year consolidated outlook for revenue from JPY 345,000 million to JPY 360,000 million, and lowered its full-year consolidated outlook for operating profit from JPY 56,000 million to JPY 49,000 million, ordinary profit from JPY 57,500 million to JPY 50,400 million, net profit from JPY 39,000 million to JPY 35,700 million, and earnings per share from JPY 287.30 to JPY 263.00, for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2014. The Company raised its full-year consolidated outlook for revenue mainly due to the increased sales and depreciation of yen, and lowered its full-year consolidated outlook for operating profit, ordinary profit and net profit mainly due to the increased elimination amount of unrealized profit and termination of production in Numazu plant.
