Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp is a Canada-based diversified generation, transmission and distribution utility company. Through its business groups, the Company provides rate regulated natural gas, water, and electricity generation, transmission, and distribution utility services to over 750,000 customers in the United States. Canada's Algonquin Power & Utilities said on Friday that some of its wind farms in Texas were hit by the deep freeze that has engulfed parts of the United States, causing power outages in the biggest energy-producing state.
