Comstock Resources, Inc. is an energy company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas in the United States. Its assets are concentrated in the Haynesville and Bossier shale located in North Louisiana and East Texas. Its primary operating areas include Haynesville/Bossier Shale, Bakken Shale and other. It owns interests in approximately 1,176 producing wells and operates over 734 of these wells in the Haynesville and Bossier shales in North Louisiana and East Texas. It owns interests in approximately 429 producing wells, which produce from the Bakken shale is located in North Dakota and Montana. It also owns interests in approximately 903 producing wells and operates over 637 of these wells, which is located in the Cotton Valley formations in East Texas and North Louisiana. The Company owns interests in approximately 2,864 producing oil and natural gas wells and operate 1,480 of these wells.
