Dow Jones reported that Robeco Groep NV (Robeco), subject to an agreed offer by United States-based Johnson & Johnson (J&J), has sold all its shares (1.5%) in Crucell N.V. (Crucell). Robeco's holding, about 1.5% of Crucell's share capital, has been sold on the open market over several days. J&J, which owns 17.9% of Crucell, is willing to pay EUR 1.75 billion for shares it does not own. Crucell shares have traded below the J&J offer of EUR 24.75 per share despite opposition from second-biggest shareholder Van Herk. Crucell's standalone value should be EUR 27.50 per share.
Robeco Groep NV announced that it has appointed Mr. Roderick Munsters as new CEO of the Company. This appointment will become effective on September 1, 2009 and requires the approval of the Dutch regulators. Mr. Munsters will take over the position of George Moller who will be leaving Robeco, as he has reached the required age.
Robeco Groep N.V. announced that it has decided to propose to the General Meeting of Shareholders a cash dividend for the full year 2008 of EUR 0.80 per share. The Company paid a dividend of EUR 0.80 per share for full year 2007. Payment will be made on May 5, 2009.
