Savannah Resources Plc is a mineral resource development company focused on building mining operations. The Company operates multi-commodity and asset portfolio. The Company owns Mina do Barroso Lithium project in Portugal, which produces lithium spodumene concentrates for international markets. The Company also owns Mutamba Heavy Mineral Sands project (Mutamba) located in the Gaza and Inhambane provinces of Mozambique, which is an ilmenite deposit. The Company has interest in the Block 4 and 5 joint venture copper projects in Oman. The two blocks are located approximately 180 kilometers northwest of Muscat.

London-based mining company Savannah Resources said on Monday it was in talks with several major European industrial groups, including carmakers, as it gears up to start commercial lithium production in northern Portugal in 2021.
Savannah Resources said on Monday its Portuguese lithium resources were more than 40 percent larger than previously estimated and it was talking to potential European customers as the continent seeks to reduce battery mineral imports.
Savannah Resources on Wednesday announced a more than 50 percent jump in the size of Portuguese lithium resources it says could be the first western European project to come onstream, driving its shares more than 13 percent higher.
