July 26 (Reuters) - Aurizon Holdings Ltd :Above rail coal volumes of 198.2 million tonnes for FY2017 were within guidance of 190 - 200 mt.‍Company advises unaudited FY2017 underlying earnings before interest & tax of $836 million​.Aurizon has recognised non-cash impairments of $526 million relating to its bulk business.Confirms that full year transformation costs will exceed $100 million.Aurizon is making a provision of $27 million for estimated redundancy costs with reductions of an estimated 185 permanent traincrew roles​.‍Total transformation related redundancy costs are $52 million for 2HFY17 and $116 million for FY17​.  Full Article

April 26 (Reuters) - Aurizon Holdings Ltd :March quarter 2017 above rail volumes were impacted by tropical cyclone debbie and associated flooding affecting all commodities hauled in queensland.FY17 coal tonnage guidance has been lowered to 190-200mt.March quarter 2017 coal volumes of 48.4mt were 2% (-1.0mt) lower compared to previous corresponding period (pcp)due to flood impacts in queensland.March quarter 2017 iron ore volumes were 7% (-0.4mt) lower than pcp at 5.6mt.  Full Article

April 18 (Reuters) - Aurizon Holdings Ltd :Update on impacts of cyclone Debbie.Has revised its previous EBIT guidance for FY2017 of $900-950 million to $800-850 million.Three out of four Aurizon coal systems have now re-opened to coal trains and are operating under restricted conditions with some reduced capacity.Says expects its above rail coal tonnes for FY2017 to be reduced by 12-14 million tonnes.For FY17 now expects a coal haulage range of 190- 200 million tonnes, rather than previously advised guidance of 200-212 million tonnes.Expects Goonyella coal system to re-open on 26 April with speed restrictions and reduced capacity.Says expects total FY2017 EBIT reduction of $100-115 million as a result of cyclone Debbie impacts."Access revenue will decrease in FY2017 as a result of an expected volume reduction of 19-21 million tonnes carried by all rail operators on CQCN (Central Queensland Coal Network)".  Full Article

Aurizon Holdings Ltd : Aurizon network operational update - cyclone debbie . Blackwater system was expected to re-open in week ending sunday, 9 april . Blackwater system will now re-open to coal traffic on monday 10 april . Aurizon has mobilised all available crews and resources, including contractors, to undertake repairs across four coal systems . Newlands system is expected to re-open on friday, 14 april . Moura system is now expected to re-open on wednesday, 12 april . "network is expected to operate under restricted conditions with some reduced capacity" .Repairs to large sections of infrastructure of Goonyella system at black mountain are scheduled to be completed by 11 april.  Full Article

Aurizon Holdings Ltd : Blackwater System is expected to open again by end of this week, subject to assessment as flood levels recede . Blackwater System was closed to rail traffic at 2100hrs on Wednesday (29 March 2017) due to localised flooding . As a result of cyclone debbie,localised flooding, co mobilised all available crews,resources over recent days to inspect & commence repairs . Cost of repairing rail infrastructure & loss of network revenue expected to be recovered as part of established regulatory process with authority . Temporary closure of coal systems will have negative impact on FY2017 volumes & earnings . "It is too early to assess whether there will be a change to Aurizon's FY2017 volume and EBIT guidance" . There will be a change in timing of when income is received and costs are incurred which is likely to a negative impact on FY2017 network earnings .
