Bell takes over production plants of the Spanish Nobleza Ibérica

Bell AG : Is taking over the production plants of the Spanish ham and charcuterie specialist Nobleza Ibérica . Company has an annual production capacity of some 150,000 hams and 1,000 tonnes of charcuterie . Takeover was executed on April 6, 2017 . Work on the new Serrano ham production plant in Fuensalida close to Madrid has progressed further . Bell is investing around EUR 40 million in this new build project, which will offer 100 additional jobs upon completion .The new production facility is scheduled to begin operations in the second quarter of 2018.  Full Article

Bell FY profit rose by 6.1 pct to CHF 101 million

Bell AG : FY profit rose by 6.1 percent to 101 million Swiss francs ($100.05 million) . Adjusted for special effects, FY EBIT amounts to 154 million francs, which represents an increase of 20.7 million francs (+15.6 percent) over the previous year .Anticipates that the difficult framework conditions will continue throughout the current year, in particular due to the continued volatility in the prices for raw materials and the fact that competition remains fierce.  Full Article
