Yara to sign mining agreement for Ethiopian Dallol potash mine

Nov 7 (Reuters) - Yara International Asa :Yara will sign a mining agreement with the Ethiopian.authorities, making possible the future development of the Yara Dallol potash mine..Dallol mine will have a production capacity of approximately 600,000 tonnes of SOP per year, equivalent to approximately ten per cent of global market​.‍Products will be mined using solution mining, meaning there will be no open pit at site​.‍Yara Dallol is a 51.8 per cent Yara International owned company​.‍Other owners are Liberty Metals and Mining Holdings (25 per cent) and XLR Capital (23.2 per cent)​.‍A final investment decision is expected towards end of 2018​.‍Total capital expenditure frame for project has yet to be finalized​.‍Amount has been reduced from previously estimated USD 740 million​.  Full Article

July 18 (Reuters) - Fertilizer firm Yara International Asa :Yara q2 revenues nok 23,471 million (Reuters poll nok 24.64 billion) vs 25,866 mln in Q2 2016.Yara q2 ebitda ex special items nok 2,873 million (Reuters poll nok 3.36 billion) vs 3,958 mln in Q2 2016.Yara q2 net result nok 699 million (Reuters poll nok 1.21 billion) vs 3,072 mln in Q2 2016.Yara improvement program and growth pipeline, both of which are on track to deliver minimum nok 17 per share of annual earnings improvements within 2020.Yara's spot energy costs for next two quarters are expected to be approximately nok 225 million higher than a year earlier.Global farm margin outlook and incentives for fertilizer application remains supportive overall, and price trend for cereal, meat and dairy has been positive year to date.In europe, yara is seeing a normal rate of order taking at start of new season, at higher prices than a year ago, and expects roughly stable european nitrogen consumption for 2017/18 season.Yara is expanding capacity in several plants at a significantly lower capital expenditure per capacity tonne compared with benchmark greenfield expansions. Yara buys Vale fertilizer complex in Brazil for $255 million

SAO PAULO Norway's Yara International ASA , a global producer and distributor of fertilizers, has reached an agreement to buy Vale SA's fertilizer complex in Cubatão, Brazil, for $255 million in cash, the company said on Friday.
