Name Description

Douglas Baker

Mr. Douglas M. Baker, Jr., is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Ecolab Inc. Since joining Ecolab in 1989, Mr. Baker has more than 25 years of Ecolab marketing, sales and general management experience, including leadership roles in Ecolab’s Institutional, Europe and Kay businesses before becoming Ecolab’s Chief Operating Officer in 2002 and Chief Executive Officer in 2004. He has deep and direct knowledge of Ecolab’s businesses and operations. In addition, his experience at The Procter & Gamble Company included various marketing and management positions, including in the institutional market in which Ecolab operates. As a director of two other public companies, Mr. Baker also has extensive corporate governance experience.

Dr. Larry Berger is executive vice president and chief technical officer for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. Dr. Berger is responsible for leading the global Research, Development & Engineering organization. Combining a deep understanding of customer problems with technology leadership, Ecolab RD&E takes an innovative systems approach to deliver superior solutions. The technical services team provides training and expertise that ensures Ecolab’s customers receive consistent, highly effective results. Ms. Laurie M. Marsh is Executive Vice President - Human Resources of Ecolab Inc. Ms. Marsh served as Vice President – Total Rewards and HR Service Delivery & Technology Dec. 2011 – Oct.2013. Ms. Marsh is executive vice president of Human Resources for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. Previously, Marsh served as vice president of Total Rewards and HR Service Delivery & Technology. Prior to joining Ecolab in 2011 through a merger with Nalco Holding Company, Marsh was Nalco’s executive vice president of Human Resources. During her 20-year career with Nalco, Marsh held several positions within the company’s Human Resources function, including manager of Employee Benefits, director of Workplace Planning and Staffing and Division vice president of Compensation. Marsh also was president of the Nalco Foundation, a role she assumed in 2003 and held until 2012 when the Nalco Foundation was merged with Ecolab. Christophe Beck

Mr. Christophe Beck is an Executive Vice President, President – Global Water & Process Services of Ecolab Inc. Mr. Christophe Beck is executive vice president and president of Global Industrial for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. In his current role, Beck leads Ecolab's Food & Beverage and Nalco Water businesses. Nalco Water is the global leader in industrial water treatment and provides solutions to help companies operate more efficiently and increase productivity while reducing water use. In 2006, Beck was nominated as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum for his accomplishments and commitment to shape a better world. Alex Blanco

Mr. Alex N. Blanco is Executive Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer of Ecolab Inc. Prior to joining Ecolab in 2013, Mr. Blanco is executive vice president and chief Supply Chain officer for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. Previously, Alex worked for Proctor and Gamble (P&G) for thirty years. Most recently, he served the company as vice president, Global Personal Beauty Care and Gillette Personal Care Product Supply. In this role, he was responsible for improving supply chain innovation and operational excellence. In previous roles, he led Supply Chain in other key P&G divisions and also had several international assignments, including a Europe regional role based in Geneva, and Latin America roles based in Venezuela and Colombia. Blanco has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University.

Michael Hickey

Mr. Michael A. Hickey is Executive Vice President, President - Global Institutional of Ecolab Inc. Mr. Hickey is executive vice president and president of Global Institutional for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. Previously, Hickey was executive vice president and president of Institutional North America. During his 33-year tenure at Ecolab, he has held a number of key executive positions, including senior vice president and general manager of multiple operating units as well as senior vice president of global business development. Hickey began his career at Ecolab as a territory manager-in-training in 1985. Before joining Ecolab, he gained sales and management experience within the foodservice industry. Hickey is a member of several industry organizations and serves on the board of directors of Standex International Corporation, the National Restaurant Association, the Women’s Foodservice Forum, the International Franchise Association and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Upper Midwest. He is past chair of the board of directors of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association and past chair of the board of trustees of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. Hickey has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from St. Bonaventure University. He also has completed the Global CEO Program led by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, IESE Business School at the University of Navarra in Sao Paulo and the China Europe International Business School in Shanghai, as well as executive programs through Stanford University and Pennsylvania State University.

Mr. Timothy P. Mulhere is Executive Vice President and President – Regions of Ecolab Inc. Mr. Mulhere is executive vice president and president, Global Enterprise Efficiency for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. Previously, Mulhere was executive vice president and president, Regions. In this role, he worked to ensure effective local execution of global strategies, high performance of local and regional operations, and continued alignment of the company’s global integration efforts. Previously, Mulhere was executive vice president and president of Global Water and Process Services, which operates as Nalco Water. He has also served as executive vice president and president, Global Healthcare and as senior vice president and general manager of Food & Beverage, North America. Mulhere also has held other key executive positions within Ecolab’s Healthcare and Professional Products businesses. Prior to Ecolab, Mulhere was vice president and global business manager of Refined Products for Witco Corporation. He served on the board of directors of the National Petroleum Refiners Association and Witco BV. During his tenure at Witco, he also held a number of sales and marketing positions for the Refined Products business. Mulhere currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Chemistry Council (ACC). ACC has been recognized as a leader in creating the most comprehensive shift in energy policy in the last 25 years. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Executives’ Club of Chicago. Mr. Stephen M. Taylor is an Executive Vice President, President - Nalco Champion of Ecolab Inc. Mr. Taylor Steve Taylor is executive vice president of Strategy for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. In his current role, Taylor has responsibility for the company’s corporate strategy development and special projects focused on growth initiatives. Previously, Taylor served as executive vice president and president of Ecolab’s Global Energy segment, which operates as Nalco Champion. Prior to joining Ecolab in 2011 through a merger with Nalco Company, Taylor was executive vice president and president of Nalco’s Energy Services division. In 2007, Taylor was promoted to lead the Energy Services after a series of leadership roles within the division, including vice president of Upstream Energy Services, strategic business unit leader of Nalco’s Oilfield Chemicals group and division vice president of Marketing for Upstream and Downstream. Jill Wyant

Ms. Jill S. Wyant is an Executive Vice President and President – Global Food & Beverage and Healthcare of Ecolab Inc. Ms. Wyant is executive vice president and president of Global Regions and Global Healthcare for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. Wyant leads Ecolab’s Global Regions to ensure effective local execution of global strategies and high performance of the company’s local market and regional operations. She also oversees Ecolab’s Global Healthcare business, which provides a broad portfolio of innovative infection prevention programs to customers in more than 90 countries. Previously, Wyant was executive vice president and president of Ecolab’s Global Food & Beverage, Global Healthcare and Global Life Sciences businesses. She has held a number of leadership positions within Ecolab, including senior vice president and general manager for the Food & Beverage sector in North America and Latin America, and led Food & Beverage in the Asia Pacific region. Wyant joined Ecolab in 2009 as vice president of Global Strategic Planning. Prior to Ecolab, she held multiple leadership positions at General Electric. Wyant is active in the Minneapolis-St. Paul community. She serves on the board of overseers of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and has served on the board of directors of the Greater Twin Cities United Way. Bruno Lavandier

Mr. Bruno Lavandier has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Principal Accounting Officer, Corporate Controller of the Company. He is senior vice president and corporate controller for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. As corporate controller, Lavandier has global responsibility for Ecolab’s Finance, Planning and Analysis, Accounting and Internal Audit functions. Previously, Lavandier led the Finance organization for Ecolab’s Global Supply Chain, where he equipped the function with actionable reports, processes and systems to facilitate the identification, monitoring and amplification of structural savings programs, as well as modeling tools to anticipate the impact of commodity and FX fluctuations on Ecolab costs. Lavandier has more than 25 years of international experience in various industries, including turnkey engineering, water treatment and oil and gas, in both corporate and business roles. Lavandier joined Nalco in early 2001 to coordinate the re-engineering of Nalco's supply chain. He then served as Nalco's corporate controller, playing a critical role in supporting Nalco through its 2003 leveraged buyout and related debt offerings, and through the initial public offering of shares of Nalco Holding Company in November 2004. In 2005, Lavandier was named vice president of Finance and Business Operations for Nalco's Energy Services division. While improving cash flow, margin analysis and internal controls, Lavandier worked hand-in-hand with the sales force on significant business development projects in West Africa, North Africa and Kazakhstan. In 2009, Lavandier moved to Denver to lead Energy Services’ Enhanced Oil Recovery Business (EOR), TIORCO, and oversaw the acquisition of FabTech in 2010. Lavandier graduated from l’école des Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Paris (HEC), and holds a master's degree in Business awarded by the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS).

Jeffrey Ettinger

Mr. Jeffrey M. Ettinger is Lead Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Ettinger served as President of Jennie-O Turkey Store, the largest subsidiary of Hormel Foods, and in various other positions including Treasurer, Product Manager for Hormel chili products, and corporate and senior attorney. Ms. Beck is Chief Executive Officer, Learning Care Group, Inc., Prior to joining Learning Care Group in 2011 as Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Beck spent nine years as an executive of Manpower Inc., a world leader in the employment services industry. From 2006 to 2011, Ms. Beck was President of Manpower’s EMEA operations, overseeing Europe (excluding France), the Middle East and Africa. She previously served as Executive Vice President of Manpower’s U.S. and Canada business unit from 2002 to 2005. Leslie Biller

Mr. Leslie S. Biller serves as an Independent Director of Ecolab Inc. He Chief Executive Officer of Harborview Capital, a private investment and consultive company. Director of Ecolab since 1997. Chair of the Finance Committee and member of the Compensation Committee. After holding various positions with Citicorp and Bank of America, Mr. Biller joined Norwest Corporation in 1987 as Executive Vice President in charge of strategic planning and acquisitions for Norwest Banking. Michael Larson

Suzanne Vautrinot

Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Suzanne M. Vautrinot serves as an Independent Director of Ecolab Inc. She serves as President, Kilovolt Consulting Inc. Retired Major General of the U.S. Air Force. Director of Ecolab since 2014. Member of the Audit and Finance Committees. General Vautrinot retired from the Air Force in 2013. During her 31-year career in the Air Force, she served in various assignments, including cyber operations, plans and policy, strategic security and space operations. General Vautrinot commanded at the squadron, group, wing and numbered Air Force levels, as well as the Air Force Recruiting Service. She has served on the Joint Staff, the staffs at major command headquarters and Air Force headquarters. From 2011 to 2013, she was Commander, 24th Air Force and Commander, Air Forces Cyber, where she was responsible for cyber defense operations. Prior to that, General Vautrinot was the Director of Plans and Policy, U.S. Cyber Command and the Special Assistant to the Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force. On multiple occasions, she was selected by military leaders and White House officials to spearhead high-profile engagements. General Vautrinot is the recipient of the Symantec Cyber Award, Women in Aerospace Leadership Award, Aerospace Citation of Honor and the Presidential Award for Training. During her career, she has also been awarded numerous medals and commendations, including the Distinguished Service Medal. She was inducted into the National Academy of Engineering in 2017.

John Zillmer

Mr. John J. Zillmer serves as an Independent Director of Ecolab Inc. He is a Retired President and Chief Executive Officer of Univar Inc., a global distributor of industrial chemicals and related specialty services. Director of Ecolab since 2006. Chair of the Compensation Committee and member of the Governance Committee. Mr. Zillmer joined Univar in 2009 as President and Chief Executive Officer. In 2012, he stepped down as President and CEO and became Executive Chairman until December 2012 when he retired from Univar. Prior to joining Univar, Mr. Zillmer served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Allied Waste Industries, a solid waste management business, from 2005 until the merger of Allied Waste with Republic Services, Inc. in December 2008. Before Allied Waste, Mr. Zillmer spent 30 years in the managed services industry, most recently as Executive Vice President of ARAMARK Corporation, a provider of food, uniform and support services. During his eighteen-year career with ARAMARK, Mr. Zillmer served as President of ARAMARK’s Business Services division, the International division and the Food and Support Services group.
