Biographies

Name Description

Yves Serra

Mr. Yves Serra has been Chairman of the Executive Committee, Chief Executive Office, Head of Corporate Development of Georg Fischer Ltd. since January 1, 2010. Prior to that, he had acted as Chief Executive Officer and President of the Executive Committee of the Company since March 20, 2008. He has been Member of the Company’s Executive Committee since 2003. In his professional career, he was Deputy Commercial Attache at the French Embassy in Manila from 1977 until 1979; Customer Service Engineer for Alstom in France and South Africa from 1979 until 1982. He held various positions at Sulzer in France and Japan between 1982 and 1992. He also served on various positions for the Georg Fischer Corporation since 1992, including Managing Director of Charmilles Technologies Japan and Regional Head of Sales Asia from 1992 to 1996, Head of Charmilles between 1996 and 2003, as well as Head of GF Piping Systems from 2003 to 2008. He is Member of the Executive Committee of Swissmem and Member of the Board of Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce. He holds degree in Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Paris (France) and Master of Science in Construction Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison (United States of America).

Andreas Koopmann

Mr. Andreas N. Koopmann has been Non-Executive Independent Chairman of the Board of Georg Fischer Ltd. since 2012. Prior to this, he was Non-Executive Director since March 24, 2010. He is Chairman of the Nomination Committee of the Company. He worked for Bobst Group SA, Lausanne, between 1982 and 2009. From 1982 to 1989 he was Member of Management of the United States-based subsidiary of this Swiss manufacturer of folding carton machines and subsequently headed the Bobst Group as its Chief Executive Officer from 1995 on. He is First Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nestle AG, Member of the Board of Credit Suisse, as well as Vice President and Member of the Executive Committee of Swissmem. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineer from Eidgenoessische Technische Hochschule Zuerich (Dipl. Masch.-Ing ETH), as well as an MBA from IMD Lausanne.

Gerold Buehrer

Mr. Gerold Buehrer has been Non-Executive Independent Vice Chairman of the Board of Georg Fischer Ltd. since 2012. Prior to this, he served as Non-Executive Independent Director at Georg Fischer AG since 2001. He is also Member of the Company’s Audit Committee. In addition to his current duties at the Company, he serves as President of Economiesuisse; Member of the Bank Council at Swiss National Bank; Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss Life; Member of the Boards of Bank Sal. Oppenheim (Switzerland), Cellere AG and Zueblin Immobilien Holding AG. In his professional career, he held various positions at the Union Bank of Switzerland (now UBS) from 1973 until 1990, ultimately as Member of the Executive Management of the bank’s investment company. He was Member of the Executive Committee of Georg Fischer Ltd from 1991 to 2000; Member of the Swiss Parliament between 1991 and 2007. Since 2000, he has been its Business Consultant and President of Economiesuisse (2007–2012), First Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss Life (Switzerland). He holds Lic. oec. publ. degree from Universitaet Zuerich, which he obtained in 1972.

Andreas Mueller

Mr. Andreas Mueller is Chief Financial Officer, Head of Corporate Finance & Controlling, Member of the Executive Committee of Georg Fischer Ltd. since December 31, 2016. He held Various positions for GF (since 1995), including Head of Controlling of GF Piping Systems Schaffhausen (1998– 2000), Head of Operations GF Piping System companies in Australia (2000– 2002), Head of Controlling Business Unit Industry & Utility GF Piping Systems Schaffhausen (2002–2008) and CFO of GF Automotive (2008–2016).

Pascal Boillat

Mr. Pascal Boillat has been Member of the Executive Committee and Head of GF Machining Solutions of Georg Fischer Ltd. since 2013. In his career, he has been Electrical Engineer responsible for the software department at Wahli Freres in Bevilard (1977 - 1984); and he held various positions at General Electric Switzerland and GE Fanuc Switzerland (1984 – 2000), ultimately as Country Manager Switzerland; as of 2000 he was Vice President, as of 2002 President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Fanuc Europe (Luxembourg). He has served at GF AgieCharmilles since 2010 as Head of Operations (until end of 2012) and has been Head of GF Machining Solutions (since 2013).

Josef Edbauer

Mr. Josef Edbauer has been Member of the Executive Committee and Head of GF Automotive of Georg Fischer Ltd. since November 1, 2008. In his professional career, he held various positions at Georg Fischer Automotive, including Head Engineering and Maintenance at George Fischer (Lincoln) Ltd., Lincoln, United Kingdom from 1985 until 1989; Managing Director Georg Fischer Automobilguss GmbH, Singen (Germany) from 1999 until 2005 and Member of the Group Management and Head Iron Casting Technology Unit at GF Automotive between 2005 and 2008. Joost Geginat

Mr. Joost Geginat is Member of the Executive Committee, Head of GF Piping Systems of Georg Fischer Ltd. since August 1, 2016. He is Member of the Executive Committee since May 1, 2016. He held various managing functions at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Germany, Switzerland and Asia (1995– 2014); served as Senior Managing Director and Partner at AlixPartners in Switzerland (2014–2016).

Hubert Achermann

Mr. Hubert Achermann has been Non-Executive Independent Director of Georg Fischer Ltd. since 2014. He si a Chairman of the Audit Committee. From 1982 – 1987, he was Legal advisor at FIDES Treuhandgesellschaft in Zurich; from 1987 to 1994 he headed the company‘s Lucerne office. In 1992 he was made a partner and vice chairman of the Board of Directors of the newly created KPMG Schweiz, and in 1994 joined the four-person executive board, where he was responsible for tax and law; from 2004 to September 2012 he was CEO of KPMG Schweiz and performed several key roles for KPMG international, especially as first Lead Director on the KPMG Global Board as of 2009 and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Implenia AG (until 03.02.2016); Member of the Board of UBS Switzerland AG (both Switzerland). He graduated in law at the University of Bern (Switzerland). He also serves as Member of the Board of Directors at Implenia AG (Switzerland).

Roman Boutellier

Mr. Roman Boutellier has been Non-Executive Independent Director of Georg Fischer Ltd. since 1999. He is Member of the Company’s Nomination and Compensation Committee. In addition to his current duties at the Company, he occupies the positions of Board Member of Ammann Group Holding AG; Member of the Bank Council of the Cantonal Bank of Appenzell; Member of the Board of Trustees at Vontobel Foundation. Riet Cadonau

Mr. Riet Cadonau has been Non-Executive Independent Director at Georg Fischer Ltd. since March 23, 2016. He holds a master's degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Universitaet Zurich and graduated from the Advanced Management Program at Insead Business School, France. After holding several management positions at IBM and Ascom in Switzerland, he was in 2007 appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Ascom Group. Roger Michaelis

Eveline Saupper

Ms. Eveline Saupper has been Non-Executive Independent Director of Georg Fischer Ltd. since March 18, 2015. She is Chairman of the Compensation Committee at the Company. She serves as Legal and tax Advisor at Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG Fides) (1983–1985); Attorney at Baker & McKenzie (1985–1992); Employee (1992–1994), Partner (1994–2014) and of councel at Homburger AG (since 2014), Member of the Board of Directors of Baloise Holding AG (until 29.04.2016), Syngenta International AG and Flughafen Zurich AG (all Switzerland), and Chairwoman of Mentex Holding AG, Member of the Board of Directors of hkp group, and Staubli Holding AG (all Switzerland). She is Dr. iur, attorney and certified tax expert, graduated in law at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).

Jasmin Staiblin

Ms. Jasmin Staiblin has been Non-Executive Independent Director of Georg Fischer Ltd. since March 23, 2011. She is Member of the Compensation Committee at the Company. In her professional career, she occupied various functions at ABB, including in Switzerland, Sweden and Australia (from 1997 to 2006) and from 2006 was Country Manager of ABB Switzerland. In this function, she was Member of the board and Chairwoman of the Management Committee of ABB Switzerland AG. She was also Member of the Board at ABB Turbosystems AG, Chairwoman of the Board at ABB Secheron AG and Trasfor AG. Mr. Zhiqiang Zhang has been Non-Executive Independent Director is Georg Fischer Ltd. since 2005. He is Member of the Nomination Committee at the Company. In his professional career, he held various positions at Siemens in various countries, including the United States of America, Germany and China between 1987 and 2006.
