Name Description

Rashid Wally

Mr. Rashid Ahmed Wally has been appointed as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of the Company, effective April 1, 2017. Mr Wally is currently the Chairman and member of the Audit Committee of Mango Airlines (SOC) Ltd. He will be stepping down from Mango to take over the role of Chairman of fastjet from Nico Bezuidenhout, fastjet CEO, who was appointed Interim Chairman in November 2016. In addition to his airline experience, Mr Wally has a track record spanning over 38 years in the information technology sector having held various senior executive positions with IBM in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and Lenovo in Africa. He is highly regarded for his corporate turnaround experience, having successfully completed many restructuring projects in his previous roles. Mr Wally also has significant corporate governance expertise which will benefit fastjet as it continues to expand and develop.

Nico Bezuidenhout

Mr. Nico Bezuidenhout was Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director of the Company. Nico will be joining fastjet from Mango Airlines, the low-cost carrier subsidiary of South African Airways, where he has been CEO since Mango commenced operations ten years ago. During his tenure, Nico grew the airline's market share to 25 per cent of the South African domestic air travel market and the fleet to ten Boeing 737-800 aircraft. He also achieved the lowest unit cost within the South African aviation industry through high aircraft utilisation and sustained good load factors. In addition to playing a pivotal role in the success of Mango, which has been profitable in eight of the past ten years, Nico has also twice acted in the capacity of interim CEO of its parent company.

Richard Bodin

Mr. Richard Bodin has been appointed as Interim Chief Operating Officer, Director of fastjet Plc., with effect from 18 March 2016. Richard Bodin joined fastjet in June 2012 at the Company's re-admission having previously served as a consultant with easygroup from the commencement of the project in November 2011. In his role as Chief Commercial Officer he has been instrumental in the development of the Company, in particular in developing the marketing and commercial strategy to successfully introduce the low cost airline business model in Tanzania. Following completion of his MBA, at Bradford University Management Centre, in 1996 he joined easyJet airline Ltd. as contracts manager, progressing in 2001 to the travel insurance business of AIG (Europe) Ltd. He subsequently re-entered the airline industry as Business Director of Jet2.com Ltd. in 2004 and Managing Director of Jet2Holidays. Richard further held roles with Virgin Holidays as a Director, joining in 2010, and Low Cost Travel Group Limited as Director of Strategic Relationships, joining in 2011.

Kris Jaganah

Mr. Kris Jaganah is Director of the Company. He is employed by Bridgewater Administration Limited ("Bridgewater"), a company providing Accounting and Administrative services to Solenta Aviation Holdings Limited ("SAHL") amongst others. Kris has been seconded to fastjet Plc for an initial period of three years, with the aim of utilising his strong IT and systems focus, together with his aviation experience, in order to drive enhancements in systems, reporting and data automation. In addition to three years of aviation experience, Mr Jaganah has over ten years' experience in the financial services sector, as well as four years in the pharmaceutical industry. Mr Jaganah is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants following qualification in 2006. Bridgewater and SAHL are related parties.
