Name Description

James Herbert

Mr. James (Jim) H. Herbert, II, is a Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of First Republic Bank. Mr. Herbert is a trustee of Babson College, and San Francisco Ballet Association (Chair and Co-Chair, 2002-2008). He is also a director of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, New York, and The BASIC Fund. He holds B.S., 1966, Babson College M.B.A., 1969, New York University Harvard Business School CEO Presidents’ Seminar Graduate.

Hafize Gaye Erkan

Dr. Hafize Gaye Erkan is President of the Company. Ms. Erkan joined First Republic in 2014 as Chief Investment Officer and Co-Chief Risk Officer. She was appointed Chief Deposit Officer in January 2016 and President of First Republic in May 2017. Ms. Erkan works with CEO Jim Herbert in setting strategic direction and managing key client, shareholder and regulatory relationships. Additionally, Ms. Erkan oversees the Bank’s investment portfolio, deposit franchise, and New York and Boston regions. Prior to First Republic, Ms. Erkan was Managing Director and Head of Financial Institutions Group Strategies at Goldman Sachs, where she worked for nearly a decade. She advised Boards and Executive Management teams of many U.S. banks and insurance companies on balance sheet and risk management, stress testing, capital planning, and mergers and acquisitions. Katherine August-deWilde

Ms. Katherine August-deWilde is an Vice Chairman of the Board of the Company. Ms. August-deWilde was an executive at First Republic Bank from 1985-2015. She served as President from 2007 and as COO from 1996-2014. Previously, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at PMI Group. Michael Harrington

Mr. Michael J. (Mike) Harrington is Chairman of First Republic Trust Company, a subsidiary of the Bank. Mr. Harrington is Chairman of First Republic Trust Company, a position he assumed in 2016 after serving as President of First Republic Trust Company for over ten years. He came to First Republic in 2002 from Bank of America where he was the Regional Fiduciary Executive for Bank of America’s private bank. Prior to that, Mr. Harrington was a senior trust lawyer for Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco and an estate planning and trust lawyer in Southern California. Kelly Johnston

Ms. Kelly Johnston is President - First Republic Trust Company of the Company, a subsidiary of the Bank. Ms. Johnston has more than 20 years of experience, most recently with Mechanics Bank Wealth Management, in managing multigenerational family wealth and administering complex trust and estates and agency relationships. As part of her role, she specializes in collaborating with estate planning attorneys and certified public accountants to develop and implement innovative and tax-efficient strategies. Active in the San Francisco Estate Planning Community, she is a current board member of the San Francisco Estate Planning Council and is past president and board member of the East Bay Estate Planning Council. David Tateosian

Mr. David Tateosian is President - First Republic Securities Company, a subsidiary of the Company. Mr. Tateosian is President of First Republic Securities Company on the Private Wealth Management Executive Team and his leadership responsibilities also include First Republic’s Foreign Exchange and Insurance business lines. Prior to joining First Republic Securities Company in 2003, Mr. Tateosian held management positions at two brokerage firms Boston-based Fidelity Investments and Bay Area Preferred Trade, Inc. Mr. Tateosian provides industry service as a FINRA Arbitrator. He served on the San Francisco SPCA Board of Directors from 2006 through 2015 and presently sits on its investment committee. Jason Bender

Mr. Jason C. Bender is Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of First Republic Bank. Mr. Bender has been with First Republic since 1999 and managed the Bank’s finance department for over a decade before being appointed Chief Administrative Officer in 2013. In 2016, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the overall operations of deposits and lending, strategic planning, enterprise data, online banking and related digital activities, information technology and secondary loan marketing. Ms. Mollie M. Richardson is Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief People Officer of the Company. Ms. Richardson joined First Republic in 2003 and was appointed Chief Administrative Officer and Chief People Officer in 2016. Ms. Richardson oversees human resources, Eagle Lending and various bank-wide initiatives. David Lichtman

Mr. David B. Lichtman is Chief Credit Officer, Executive Vice President of First Republic Bank. Mr. Lichtman has been employed by First Republic since 1986, holding positions in various phases of lending operations, and has held his current position since 1995. Michael Selfridge

He was appointed Deputy Chief Operating Officer in 2013, Chief Operating Officer in 2014 and was appointed Chief Banking Officer in 2016. As Chief Banking Officer, he is responsible for private banking, business banking, and information security. Robert Thornton

Mr. Robert L. T(Bob ) Thornton is Executive Vice President, President - Private Wealth Management of the Company. Mr. Thornton joined First Republic in 2004 and currently serves as President of First Republic Investment Management and President of First Republic Private Wealth Management. He became Executive Vice President of First Republic Bank in 2015 and oversees banking activities for the Los Angeles and Palm Beach regions. Prior to joining First Republic, Mr. Thornton held senior roles at Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank over a 20 year period. Bill Ward

Olga Tsokova

Shannon Houston

Ms. Shannon Houston is Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of the Company. Ms. Houston joined First Republic in 2010 and was appointed Chief Marketing and Communications Officer on January 1, 2018. She is responsible for all marketing, branding and communications for the Bank and its wealth management entities. Ms. Houston previously served as Director of Investor Relations for First Republic. Thomas Barrack

Mr. Thomas J. Barrack, Jr. is Independent Director of First Republic Bank. Mr. Barrack is Executive Chairman of Colony NorthStar, Inc. He previously held the position of Founder and Executive Chairman of Colony Capital, Inc., the predecessor to Colony NorthStar. Prior to founding the Colony Capital business, Mr. Barrack was a principal with the Robert M. Bass Group. Mr. Barrack served in the Reagan administration as Deputy Undersecretary of the Department of the Interior and was Chairman of the 58th Presidential Inaugural Committee. Frank Fahrenkopf

Mr. Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr. is Independent Director of First Republic Bank. Mr. Fahrenkopf was President and CEO of the American Gaming Association for 18 years. He is of counsel in the Washington, D.C. law firm of Hogan Lovells. He is Co-Chairman of the Commission on Presidential Debates. From 1983 to 1989, Mr. Fahrenkopf was Chairman of the Republican National Committee. He is a director of eleven funds within the Gabelli Funds, LLC fund complex. He is also a director of Eldorado Resorts, Inc. and a member of the private company board of BMM International. L. Martin Gibbs

Mr. L. Martin Gibbs is Independent Director of First Republic Bank. Mr. Gibbs is currently an investor who retired from his law practice in 2010. Mr. Gibbs previously represented First Republic from its inception through the end of 2009 and was a partner in the law firm of White & Case LLP, where he had a broad-based corporate legal practice with substantial experience in mergers and acquisitions, securitizations, real estate, private equity and banking transactions. Sandra Hernandez

Dr. Sandra R. Hernandez, M.D. is Independent Director of First Republic Bank. Dr. Hernández is President and CEO of the California Health Care Foundation, an independent foundation dedicated to improving the health of the people of California. Prior to joining California Health Care Foundation, Dr. Herna´ndez was CEO of The San Francisco Foundation, which she led for 16 years. Dr. Herna´ndez previously served as director of public health for the City and County of San Francisco and co-chaired San Francisco’s Universal Healthcare Council.
