Marco De Benedetti

Dr. Marco Diego De Benedetti serves as Chairman of the Board of GEDI GRUPPO EDITORIALE S.P.A. since June 23, 2017. Marco De Benedetti has been Managing Director of Carlyle since November 2005. He has been Chairman of Fratelli De Benedetti S.p.A. since March 2013. He has been a Director of CIR since June 2014 and of Cofide since 1994. He is Chairman of Marelli Motori S.p.A., Comdata S.p.A. and Twin-Set Simona Barbieri S.r.l. and he sits on the Boards of Directors of Moncler S.p.A., NBTY, Inc. and Logoplaste S.A. He held the position of Chief Executive Officer of TIM from July 1999 to July 2005 and was Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Italia (July 2005 - October 2005). Marco De Benedetti graduated in history and economics from the Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT-US) in 1984. In 1987 he was awarded a Masters of Business Administration by the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

He is Founder of Sogefi SpA where he served as Chairman until April 19, 2005, after which he became Honorary Chairman. In March 2000, he founded CDB Web Tech where he has served as Executive Chairman. In 1983, he has been a Founding Member of European Round Table of Industrialists of which he was Vice Chairman until 2004. He has been Member of the European Advisory Committee of the New York Stock Exchange from 1985 until June 2005. He is Member of International Council of CSIS-Center for Strategic & International Studies in Washington; Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Science and Italian Council of INSEAD. In December 1998, he established the Rodolfo De Benedetti Foundation which he chairs. He started his career in 1959 in the family business company Compagnia Italiana Tubi Metallici Flessibili, which was transformed into Gilardini of which he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 1972 until 1976. From 1978 to 1983, he was Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Olivetti, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 1983 to 1996, and Honorary Chairman from 1996 to 1999. He was awarded the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro in 1983 and the French Legion d’Honneur in 1987. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 1958.

Monica Mondardini

Dr. Monica Mondardini serves as Chief Executive Officer, General Manager and Executive Director of Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso - Societa per Azioni since January 1, 2009. She served as Director of the Company since September 16, 2008. She also serves as Director of Generali Espana Holding, and Banco Vitalicio e di La Estrella. She worked in Gruppo Fabbri. Dr. Corrado Corradi serves as General Manager of National Press at Gruppo Editoriale l'Espresso - Societa per Azioni on March 29, 2011. He previously was appointed General Manager of the Espresso Division on July 27, 2005. He worked in the commercial and marketing management of La Stampa in Turin from 1987 to 1990. In 1991 he moved to Gruppo Espresso, where he held various posts in the marketing sector of la Repubblica. Mr. Massimo Russo serves as Head of Digital Division at GEDI GRUPPO EDITORIALE S.P.A. He was the co-director of La Stampa. He had previously directed the Italian edition of Wired for two years. He had previously been the director of Digital Content Division's content and product development. Journalist since 1991, has worked for ten years in the Finegil newspapers and between 1992 and '93, with a scholarship at Columbia University, New York. In 1999 he was among the founders of Kataweb, then the internet company of L'Espresso. He has been part of the Parliamentary Commission for the drafting of a Charter of Rights on the Internet. Specializing in Journalism and Mass Communications at the Luiss of Rome, he graduated in Economics at Universita Ca Foscari di Venezia in 1989. Co-author of "Digital Eretics" (Milan, 2009), his latest e-book is "Attack on Pirates" In the summer of 2015.

He has been Chief Executive Officer of Cir SpA since 1993 and he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Cofide in 1995. He has been in the Board of Directors of Allianz SpA and Banque Syz SA. He was General Manager of CIR SpA from 1990 to 1993 and Cofide from 1989 until 1995, which he joined in 1988 as Director of Internal Business. Prof. Agar Brugiavini, Ph.D. serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso - Societa per Azioni since 2010. She served as Lead Independent Director of the Company from February 21, 2007 until 2010. Prior to her appointment she served as Independent Director of the Company. She is a Member of the Audit and Related Parties Transactions Committees within the Company. She has been a Professor of Economics within the University of Venice since March 2005. From November 1998 to 2005, she was Assistant Professor within the University of Venice. From August 1997 to July 1998, she was Visiting Scholar within the Northwestern University. Elena Ciallie

Ms. Elena Ciallie serves as Non-Executive Independent Director of GEDI GRUPPO EDITORIALE S.P.A. since June 27, 2017. In 1994, she became a chartered accountant. She has many years of experience in consulting, senior management and on boards of directors, as well as long and varied experience in investment banking. In fact, (i) she worked with the consulting company DS&C Consulting in Milan from 1991 to 1994; (ii) with Citibank in the Corporate Finance division in Milan from 1994 to 1998 and then, as Vice president, in the Structured Finance division in London; (iii) from 1998 to 2008 she worked with Goldman Sachs at their offices in London; and (iv) from 2009 to 2016 she was a partner at Ondra Partners in London, where she contributed to the construction of a team of 50 people with revenues of around one million each, with offices in London, New York, Paris and Milan. She received a degree with honors in Business Economics from Universita Bocconi.
