Biographies

Name Description

Ken Cai

Dr. Ken Z. Cai is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of the company. He devotes approximately 40% of his time to the Company’s business. Dr. Cai holds a Ph.D. in mineral economics from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. Dr. Cai has 25 years' experience in mineral exploration, project evaluation, corporate financing and company management. He has been the driving force behind the Company and responsible for negotiating the property agreements in China. He has a wide range of high-level contacts in the Chinese mining communities and this has allowed Minco to access data on a number of projects throughout China. Dr. Cai serves as a director and/or officer of Minco Silver Corporation, a TSX listed company (Director, President and CEO).

Kenneth Leigh

Mr. Kenneth E. Leigh is President of the company. He has more than 27 years of experience in the mining industry including business development, financial analysis of mining projects, exploration management, corporate development and executive leadership. He has spent the past six years working as an independent corporate/business development consultant. Previously, he served as President & CEO of Commander Resources Ltd. for seven years and prior to that, worked in exploration and business development with Teck Resources for thirteen years. For the past 18 months, he has been working with Minco Gold in a consulting role, assisting with the identification and evaluation of acquisition and investment opportunities. Mr. Leigh holds and Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science from the University of Western Ontario.

David Li

Mr. David Li, MBA, CPA is Chief Financial Officer of Minco Gold Corporation. Mr. Li has over 20 years of international project and financial management and corporate development experience. He worked as vice-president, Asia Pacific affairs, with Alderon Iron Ore Corp., and the chief financial officer of Selwyn Chihong Mining Ltd., where he managed accounting, finance activities, and fundraising for a large zinc and lead project in Canada. Previously, he was the Asian finance controller in China for a manufacturing company based in the United States and director of strategic planning for Trina Solar, a New York Stock Exchange-listed public company. He also held various managerial roles in Bunge Ltd., a NYSE-listed public company, and Cargill's investment holding company in Beijing. Mr. Li holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona, United States of America, and a CPA licence in Illinois, USA.

Jennifer Trevitt

Ms. Jennifer Trevitt is Corporate Secretary of the company. She is the Certified Paralegal with 12 years of Canadian and US Securities experience. Corporate Secretary Minco Gold Corporation, July 23, 2009 to Present, Paralegal for 3 TSX-V listed mining companies, a US Public company and two law firms in Vancouver from 1999 to 2009. From 1992 to1999, Ms. Trevitt worked for the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia as a Paralegal.

Michael Durose

Mr. Michael Durose is the Director of the Company. Mr. Durose is a professional geologist (PGeo) registered in the province of Ontario. His formal academic training includes a graduate diploma in waste management and groundwater contamination from McGill University, Montreal; an MSc in mineral economics from Queen's University, Kingston; and a BSc (honours) in geology from Carleton University, Ottawa. Mr. Durose co-founded Mining Research Group Inc. in 2012, where he researches and advises on mining and resource-related investments. From 1993 to 2008, Mr. Durose worked in capital markets as a senior mining analyst and adviser to investment funds, principally with Morgan Stanley, Bunting Warburg (now UBS Canada), Nesbitt Burns (now BMO Capital Markets Inc.) and Scotia Capital. His mining research has been widely disseminated to institutional investors globally. He has travelled extensively visiting mining projects in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Russia, Africa, Australia and Asia. Prior to working in capital markets, Mr. Durose worked as an exploration geologist in the Canadian base metal and gold industries. Mr. Durose is a founder of Durose Asset Management Inc., and a fund manager, portfolio manager and exempt market dealer registered in the province of Ontario.

Robert Callander

Mr. Robert M. Callander is Independent Director of the company. He holds an MBA from York University, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as well as a Certified Financial Analyst from the Institute for Investment Management, Charlotte, Virginia. Mr. Callander has worked for Caldwell Securities Ltd. since 1992 and currently serves as a vice-president with that firm. Prior to his engagement with Caldwell Securities Ltd., Mr. Callander served as a corporate finance analyst with Burns Fry.

Malcolm Clay

Mr. Malcolm F. Clay, CPA, is Independent Director of the company, since November 16, 2007. Mr. Clay is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and was a partner of KPMG and its predecessor firms for 27 years, retiring in 2002. As a public accountant, he served as lead audit or concurring partner for public companies listed on both American and Canadian exchanges. He was the Partner-in-Charge of the KPMG Vancouver Audit practice for ten years. In 1997, he was elected as the non-executive Chairman of KPMG Canada. During his career he acted as an accountant and advisor for numerous private companies and is currently the Chairman of the audit committee for four TSX Venture Exchange listed companies. He currently sits as a Director of Versatile Systems Inc., Powertech Uranium Corp., Hanwei Energy Services Corp., Oakmont Capital Corp. and Wolverine Minerals Corp.

Michael Doggett

Dr. Michael D. Doggett,Ph.d., is Independent Director of the company, since July 16, 2007. Dr. Doggett is the President of HanOcci Mining Advisors, a mineral industry consulting group based in Toronto and Vancouver. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department in Geological Sciences and Geological Engineering at Queen’s University. He holds degrees in geology and mineral economics from Mount Allison University and Queen’s University. Dr. Doggett has taught professional development seminars in exploration and project evaluation to more than 600 industry participants in a dozen countries and has carried out a range of consulting activities with mining companies, governments and international agencies. He currently sits as a Director of Murgor Resources Inc., Pacific Link Mining Corp., Riverside Resources Inc. and Altan Nevada Minerals Ltd.
