Biographies

Name Description

Bruno Mettling

Mr. Bruno Mettling serves as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board, representing MT Telecom SCRL - Belgium at Orange Egypt for Telecommunications S.A.E since April 19, 2017. He was Non-Executive Vice Chairman of the Board, representing MT Telecom SCRL - Belgium at the Company since March 20, 2016 till April 19, 2017. After graduating in Political Studies, he began his career in the budget department in the Ministry of Finance in France before joining other government departments including the Ministry of Employment, Infrastructure and Urban Planning. In 1991, he became Inspector of Finance and joined the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Mr. Mettling was appointed as deputy Chief Financial Officer for La Poste, before joining Caisses d’Epargne in October 1999 where he launched a reform of the Human Resources function. Until 2009, he was CEO at the Banque Populaire Group. He joined France Telecom Orange in 2010 as deputy CEO in charge of Group Human Resources. He is Chairman and CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa since March 1, 2016. He holds degree in Law from University of Aix en Provence and a degree Political Studies from Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris.

Jean Harion

Mr. Jean Marc Harion is Chief Executive Officer, Executive Member of the Board at Orange Egypt for Telecommunications S.A.E since September 1, 2016. He has more than 25 years of experience and leadership in the area of telecommunications. Since December 1, 2011, he was Orange Belgium CEO till August 31, 2016. Prior to joining Orange Belgium, he spent 3 years in the Dominican Republic, as the President and CEO of Orange Dominicana. Mr. Harion's previous international experience includes a broad range of positions within Orange Group, including Vice President, Business Development for France Telecom North America in New York, Vice President Commercial Development for Orange France in Paris and Director of Data Operations and Services for Orange Group in London. Before joining Orange Group, he established his own company in 1991, Computer Channel, which he developed during 10 years before selling it to France Telecom. He holds a Masters degree in information management from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and a Masters in Linguistics from Universite Libre de Bruxelles and a degree from Universitaet Mannheim.

Michel Monzani

Mr. Michel John Mary Monzani is Non-Executive Vice Chairman of the Board, representing MT Telecom SCRL - Belgium at Orange Egypt for Telecommunications S.A.E since April 19, 2017. He was Non-Executive Member of the Board of Egyptian Company for Mobile Services SAE, representing MT Telecom SCRL - Belgium since March 20, 2016 till April 19, 2017. Earlier, he was Non-Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of Egyptian Co for Mobile Services SAE, representing MT Telecom SCRL since March 10, 2013. Prior to that, he was Non-Executive Chairman of the Board for Egyptian Co for Mobile Services SAE (Mobinil), representing MT Telecom SCRL until March 10, 2013. He started his career at France Telecom as a Financial Controller in 1981. After holding various responsibilities in the fields of information technology (IT), consumer and business sales, he was promoted to the position of Regional Director of France Telecom, covering the north of France in 1991, prior to being appointed Senior Vice President in charge of the consumer division in France in 1996. In 1998, he was appointed Senior Vice President in charge of the Sales and Services Division for the French Territory. In 2002, he was seconded to Poland to assist TP management in restructuring the domestic consumer sales network. In 2003, Mr. Monzani was appointed Head of the Strategy Department with the International Division with a responsibly for the corporate development of France Telecom group. From 2006 until August 2008, he served as Senior-President in charge of Poland at France Telecom corporate level. On September 1, 2008, he was appointed as Senior Vice President within FT Group Africa, Middle East and Asia Division. Mr. Monzani has been a board member of several fixed-line, mobile and internet companies associated with France Telecom in various countries in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia. He is a graduate of Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Paris (HEC) School of Management, Paris, and he is a Chevalier de I’Ordre National Du Merite.

Ashraf Halim

Mr. Ashraf Ibrahim Halim is Vice President - Commercial for Egyptian Co for Mobile Services SAE (Mobinil) since May 1, 2011. He is responsible for overseeing the Company’s marketing, communication and sales operations. He returned to Mobinil with an accumulated commercial and management experience of 23 years, 20 of which were in telecommunications. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Cairo University. He began his career in the field of Civil Engineering. Then, in 1991, he shifted to telecommunications with AT&T, followed by Lucent Technologies in 1995. Holding several positions in Egypt and the United Kingdom, Mr. Halim was in charge of GSM business development for Lucent in the Middle East and Africa. He first joined Mobinil in 2001 as Senior Program Manager handling company-wide program management standards and methodology, as well as strategic corporate programs. He then held the position of Senior Manager Revenue & CRM Analysis, where he oversaw the areas of market strategy, products and services pricing, commercial budget, research and competitive intelligence. Mr. Halim then joined Orascom Telecom Holding in 2007 as Senior Director of Strategic Marketing in the Commercial department, and after that, he was promoted to Chief Commercial Officer and Member of Orascom Telecom Operation Committee.

Sherif Rizq

Mr. Sherif Subhi Hanna Rizq is Vice President - Human Resources for Orange Egypt for Telecommunications S.A.E since May 1, 2011. Previously, he was Corporate Chief Human Resources Officer for Ghabbour Group. He managed to draw an overall strategic direction for Human Resources (HR), launched several projects for the group, and revamped the HR team creating a positive spirit that spread throughout the organization. Prior to that, he held a number of positions in Pepsico, namely Chipsy HR Director, Pepsi Cola HR Director, and North East Africa Business Unit HR Director responsible for 11, 000 employees. In this role, he designed processes, developed talent and recruitment strategies, and built an HR Team that revamped Pepsico's Employer Branding efforts. Before starting his career at Pepsico, Mr. Rizq was American Express Human Resources Development Manager, responsible for the Middle East & North Africa Region. He worked in several locations including Egypt, UK and Bahrain. Over the years, he won several global awards for his work in HR including the Chairman's Award for Quality from American Express, and the Global Talent Sustainability Award from Pepsico International for launching world class HR projects. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Helwan University, Egypt. He is also a Certified Trainer from American Express Europe Training and Development Centre, and a Certified Change Management Facilitator from Pritchett & Co. Associates, Inc. United Kingdom.

Rana Abbadi

Ms. Rana Jamil Said Abbadi serves as Vice President - Regulatory and Wholesale of Orange Egypt for Telecommunications S.A.E since December 1, 2011. She was Vice President - Quality and Corporate Support at the Company since 2009 till December 1, 2011, Vice President - Transformation from January 1, 2007 till 2009, Chief Financial Officer, Vice President since July 2003 till January 1, 2007 and Finance & Administrative Director since June 2001 till July 2003. She has a business record of more than 20 years of experience in the telecom industry with exposure to key company operations. She is an experienced Finance and Operations professional with over 15 years of multinational experience; holding various management positions in Jordan's Fastlink, the Welfare Association, and Deloitte and Touché, to name a few. Ms. Abbadi joined Mobinil in June 1998 as Financial Controller; she then joined Orascom Telecom Holding SAE in June 2000, and returned to Mobinil in June 2001 as Finance Director. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from University of Jordan.

Majdi Gabra

Mr. Majdi Adeeb Tawfiq Gabra serves as Vice President - Customer Service of Orange Egypt for Telecommunications S.A.E since October 2010. He was Vice President - Enterprise Market at the Company since April 1, 2009 till October 2012 and Director - Customer Service since May 2003 till April 1, 2009. He joined Mobinil on January 1, 2002 as National Sales Senior Manager in charge of all Mobinil sales and customer service centers. On May 2003, Mr. Gabra moved to the position of Director Customer service. Prior to joining Mobinil, he spent his entire career spanning 23 years holding different commercial and general management positions in the airline industry. In May 1978, he joined Trans World Airlines Inc. [TWA] in the Sales & Customer Service Department and worked his way up in the organization to hold various managerial positions in the Middle East and Europe, where he was responsible for all regional sales, marketing, government & legal affairs and general management functions. Mr. Gabra brings a diversified experience in business and commercial management of two different industries both regionally and internationally through his exposure in a multinational company. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the Faculty of Science at Ain Shams University.

Olivier Froissart

Mr. Olivier Froissart is Non-Executive Member of the Board, representing MT Telecom SCRL at Orange Egypt for Telecommunications S.A.E since February 2015. He started his career with Orange, in 1982. After holding various responsibilities in the international department and in the financing and controlling departments of Orange, which notably included participating in several IPOs and SPOs (France Telecom, Wanadoo, Orange) as manager of Orange’s ECM operations department, he joined the M&A Department of Orange, where he is acting as Deputy Head of M&A. A lead negotiator for the Orange group in the context of many M&A projects, he also held or is holding positions in board of directors of several companies involved in the telecom and IT sectors, such as Eutelsat, Telkom Kenya, Iraq Telecommunications, and various venture capital subsidiaries of the Orange group.

Nayila Khawam

Mrs. Nayila Mesad Khawam serves as Non-Executive Member of the Board, representing MT Telecom SCRL at Egyptian Co for Mobile Services SAE since September 6, 2012. She was Non-Executive Member of the Board, representing Mobinil Telecommunications SAE at the Company since July 24, 2012 till September 6, 2012. She is also Operators France Director at France Telecom. Effective from October 1, 2012, she was appointed the Director of “Operators France” at France Telecom in Paris following three and half years as the Chief Executive Officer of Jordan Telecom Group. Before holding this position, she was the Territorial Director for Ile de France (Paris region) in charge of commercial and technical departments for Mass Market and Business Clients. Before that, Mrs. Khawam was Head of Customer Services for landline, mobile and Internet for the whole France Telecom Group in France. Earlier, she was a member of the Executive Board in Orange France and Head of Customer Services for mobile phones. Previously, she was the Senior Vice President in charge of the resellers Distribution Network for the French territory at France Telecom and prior to that held the positions of the Human Resources Director for the Paris Region and Regional Director in the North of France. Mrs. Khawam also worked as a forecast manager in charge of building econometric models for the Telecom Industry, as a consultant in BIPE (Bureau d’Informations et de Prévisions Economiques) and as a product manager in the Peugeot marketing department. She actively took part in negotiations which led to the signature of “the Contrat de Plan” with the French Government in 1994. She holds Bachelors degree in Statistics & Economics from Ensae in Paris (National Institute of Statistics and Economic Administration), and in Mathematics from University of Paris. She is "Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite".

Ludovic Pech

Mr. Ludovic Alain Pech serves as a Non-Executive Member of the Board, representing MT Telecom SCRL at Orange Egypt for Telecommunications S.A.E since February 21, 2017. He has over than 20 years of international experience in the area of business development, finance and general management in the telecommunications and multimedia sector. He has been acting since 2000 as corporate, divisional or regional CFO at multiple operations of Orange Group in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In 2016, he was appointed CFO of the newly created Orange Middle East and Africa Holding. He holds a degree in finance and business administration from Ecole superieure de Commerce et de Management. He complemented his education with a senior executive program in finance and management from ESCP Europe. Certified as non-executive director by IFA (French Institute of Non-Executive Directors) and Science Po Paris, he currently serves as member of the board and audit committee of numerous corporations.

Neveen Al Taheri

Ms. Neveen Hamdi Badawi Al Taheri serves as Non-Executive Independent Member of the Board of Orange Egypt for Telecommunications S.A.E since March 20, 2016. Prior to that, she was Non-Executive Member of the Board of Egyptian Co for Mobile Services SAE, representing Public Shareholders since March 10, 2013. She has 33 years of financial and business experience. She graduated in 1980 from Cairo University. She is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and London Business School. She elected to sit on the board of the Egyptian Stock Exchange for 2 consecutive terms 1997-2003. She also sat on many public and private sector boards. She was also the Country Representative of Royal Bank of Scotland "RBS" (Previously ABN AMRO Bank NV) and sat on the Bank's Middle East Advisory Board. Currently Ms. Al Taheri sits on the boards of Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority, Arab Moltaqa Investments; Regina for Pasta & Food Products and the Board of Trustees of Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center “TIEC” as well as non-profit organizations such as INJAZ Egypt and at OECD MENA Women’s Business Forum.
