Biographies

Name Description

Ole Sunde

Mr. Ole Jacob Sunde has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Schibsted ASA since May 2002. He has also been Chairman of the Company's Compensation Committee since 2004. He has served as Member of the Company's Board of Directors since May 2000. He is the founder and has been Chairman of the Board of Formuesforvaltning ASA since 2000. He established Industrifinans Forvaltning ASA (1983), of which he was Managing Director until 2000. He is a former Consultant at McKinsey & Co. (1980-1983) and has various board appointments at other companies, including Chairman of the Board of The Tinius Trust and Member of the Board of Blommenholm Industrier AS. He is also Member of the Board of The Scott Trust and Princess Martha Louise’s Fund. He obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from Universite de Fribourg (Switzerland) in 1976 and he graduated from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University (the United States) in 1980.

Rolv Ryssdal

Mr. Rolv Erik Ryssdal has been Chief Executive Officer of Schibsted ASA since June 1, 2009. He joined the Schibsted Group in 1991 and has held several management positions including Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aftonbladet between 1999 and 2005, CEO of VG between 2005 and 2008 and CEO of Schibsted Classified Media between 2008 and 2009. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Business and Economics from Handelshoyskolen BI and a Master of Business Administration degree from INSEAD.

Trond Berger

Mr. Trond Berger is Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Schibsted ASA. He has been Executive Vice President of the Company since 1999. He is in charge of Finance, Treasury, Investor Relations and Mergers and Acquisitions at the Company. His previous positions include Investment Director with Stormbull in 1998, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nycomed ASA and Executive Vice President for Strategy and Business Development at Nycomed Amersham between 1997 and 1998, and Partner at Arthur Andersen between 1981 and 1992. He is Member of the Boards of Directors of a number of Schibsted subsidiaries. He has been a State-Authorized Public Accountant since 1984. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics from Handelshoyskolen BI and graduated from the Norwegian Armed Forces' Officer Candidate School (befalsskolen) in 1977.

Rian Liebenberg

Mr. Rian Liebenberg has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Schibsted ASA since November 24, 2015 and he has also been Acting Chief Product Officer since September 19, 2017. He has previously been Chief Technology Officer, Schibsted Media Group at Schibsted ASA since June 16, 2015. He previously was Chief Executive Officer of a start-up engaged in three-dimensional mapping and localizing services. He was also Director of Engineering at Google. Prior to that, he led all Engineering initiatives for lastminute.com. He studied computer science in Cape Town and previously was naval officer in the South African Navy.

Tina Stiegler

Ms. Tina Stiegler has been Executive Vice President People and Strategy at Schibsted ASA since November 24, 2015. Tina started in Schibsted as a management trainee in 2002, and has since held positions as organizational director in Verdens Gang (VG), as well as different positions in Bergens Tidende and VG. Tina was COO/CFO in Schibsted Norway from 2012, and took on the role as project lead for the reorganization project in 2015. Tina holds a degree in economics and business administration (sivilokonom) from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH)/Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, as well as studies in literature and French from the University of Bergen/Universite de Nice-Sofia Antipolis.

Sondre Gravir

Mr. Sondre Gravir has been Executive Vice President Europe, Established Sites at Schibsted ASA since November 24, 2015. Gravir joined Schibsted in 2007. Prior to Schibsted he spent four years in McKinsey&Company as a management consultant. In Schibsted he has been the CEO in Bergens Tidende and Aftenposten, before joining FINN as the CEO in the beginning of 2015, where he has also been part of the board in two periodes since 2007. He is the asset owner of Willhaben in SCM and has been a part of the SCM management team. His educational background is from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) and National University of Singapore (NUS). He also did the Norwegian naval officer school.

Raoul Grunthal

Mr. Raoul Grunthal has been Executive Vice President Sweden at Schibsted ASA since November 24, 2015. He has been Chief Executive Officer of Schibsted Sverige AB within the Company since 2009. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aftonbladet and Svenska Dagbladet. He was Chief Executive Officer of Svenska Dagbladet between 2006 and 2009, and in the period between 2003 and 2006, he was Chief Executive Officer of the news agency TT. He also has experience from the financial industry and as Founder of the financial daily newspaper Finanstidningen.

Didrik Munch

Mr. Didrik Munch has been Executive Vice President Norway at Schibsted ASA since November 24, 2015. He is also Chief Executive Officer of Schibsted Norge ASA within Schibsted ASA. He was Chief Executive Officer of Bergens Tidende from 1997 before joining Media Norge in 2008. He is Chairman of the Boards of Bergens Tidende AS, Aftenposten AS, VG, Schibsted Vekst and FINN.no AS. His previous positions include Division Director of the business market at DnB and a police lawyer. He graduated from the Norwegian Police University College (Politihogskolen) and holds a Master of Arts degree in Law from the Universitetet i Bergen.

Lena Samuelsson

Ms. Lena K. Samuelsson has been Executive Vice President Communications & CSR at Schibsted ASA since September 2013. Samuelsson is a journalist and was during the 12 years prior to joining the group management team the editor-in-chief of Svenska Dagbladet in Stockholm. She also worked at Aftonbladet for many years and serves on several boards such as Schibsted Norway, Hitta.se and 20 Minutos in Spain.

Gianpaolo Santorsola

Mr. Gianpaolo Santorsola has been Executive Vice President Emerging Markets at Schibsted ASA since November 24, 2015. Santorsola joined Schibsted in 2011 and became Senior Vice President of its online classifieds division (SCM) in 2012. In this position he has held executive roles in many of the markets where SCM operates, including Italy, Mexico, Spain, Austria, Morocco, France. Gianpaolo’s background includes a business and finance education from Bocconi University (Italy, 2003), previous work experience from McKinsey & Company (2003-2011) and an MBA from INSEAD (Singapore and France, 2006).

Torbjorn Ek

Mr. Torbjorn Harald Ek has been Director, Employee Representative at SCHIBSTED ASA since May 11, 2016. He was Deputy Board member of Schibsted Media Group from 2012 to 2015. He has been elected by the employees in Sweden. He joined Aftonbladet as a reporter and videographer in 2005. He was foreign correspondent for Aftonbladet 2009-2012, covering current affairs, politics, crime, sports and showbiz. Currently, he is based at Aftonbladet’s headquarters in Stockholm, covering showbiz, and also hosting and producing TV shows for Aftonbladet's online television. Elected member of the Board of the local journalist union at Aftonbladet (2006-). He holds Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Stockholm University (1999-2001).

Orla Noonan

Ms. Orla Noonan has been Director of SCHIBSTED ASA since May 12, 2017. She is CEO of Groupe AB, a leading editor, producer and distributor of audio-visual content in French-speaking Europe, which is owned by Mediawan. Noonan started her career in investment banking with Salomon Brothers in London, where she worked particularly with the telecom and media sectors. She joined Groupe AB in1996, participating in IPOs in New York and Paris. Subsequently, she oversaw the Group’s acquisitions, including the takeover of RTL9 and TMC TV channels, as well as its financial and regulatory affairs. Noonan was also President of the DTT channel NT1 between 2005 and 2010. She was nominated CEO in 2014, she initiated the build-up of the Group’s production business through the acquisition of independent production companies. Mediawan acquired Groupe AB in March 2017 as a first step in its strategy to create a European premium content platform. She is an independent Director of Iliad. Orla Noonan is a graduate of HEC, Paris (Diplome HEC, 1994) and Trinity College, Dublin (BA (Hons) Economics, 1992).

Ingunn Saltbones

Ms. Ingunn Saltbones has been Director, Employee Representative at Schibsted ASA since May 8, 2015. She was previously Director of Schibsted Media Group from May 2001 to May 2003. She has been Journalist in VG since 1997, covering current affair news, health and royalty, and more recently sex and relationships. She was VG’s Paris correspondent from 2002–2003. She has been senior health and safety representative in VG from 2011. She was also Leader of the Editorial Union from 1999 to 2001 and served asTV and radio reporter for NRK Buskerud from 1996 to 1997, freelancer for NRK news from 1995 to 1996. She has also worked for TV2 News, NRK Dagsnytt and the newspaper Vart Land. Ingunn Saltbones hold a degree in journalism from Oslo University College of Applied Sciences (1994-1996) and in French from the University of Oslo (1992-1994).

Finn Vaga

Mr. Finn E. Vaga has been Director, Employee Representative at Schibsted ASA since May 8, 2015. He has been Deputy Board Member of Schibsted Media Group since May 2013. He joined Stavanger Aftenblad in 1982. He has been illustrations editor at Stavanger Aftenblad, and previously travel and feature journalist. He was elected union representative for the local journalist union in Stavanger Aftenblad (1996–2002, 2006–2012), leader of the Works Council in Schibsted Norge (2008–2012), Board member of NJ Schibsted (2008–2012), deputy member, National Executive Council, Norwegian Union of Journalists, (2003–) and member of Works Council, Norwegian Union of Journalists (2007–). His educational background is in photography.

Marianne Budnik

Ms. Marianne Budnik has been Independent Director at Schibsted ASA since May 11, 2016. She is Chief Marketing Officer at SimpliVity. She served previously as Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of product line management for Acme Packet (2011-2014), through the company’s acquisition by Oracle in 2013. She was Chief Marketing Officer of CA Technologies (formerly Computer Associates) between 2009-2011, and held a series of leadership positions within EMC Corporation between 2000 - 2009, including Vice President, Global Marketing Programs, heading the EMC marketing operations and corporate strategic planning organization, and Director of Software Product Marketing. She holds MBA from Boston University and a BA from Babson College.

Arnaud Nicolas de Puyfontaine

Mr. Arnaud Nicolas Philippe Maxime Georges Roy de Puyfontaine has served as Independent Member of the Board of Directors of Schibsted ASA since May 11, 2012. He has served as CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Vivendi Group since 2014. Arnaud de Puyfontaine started as a consultant at Arthur Andersen and later on, in 1989, as project manager at Rhone-Poulenc. In 1990, he joined Le Figaro as Executive Director. In 1995, as a member of the founding team of the Emap Group in France, he headed Tele Poche and Studio Magazine, managed the acquisition of Tele Star and Tele Star Jeux, and started up the Emap Star Division before becoming Chief Executive Officer of Emap France in 1998. He was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Emap France in 1999, he served from 2000 to 2005 as Chairman of EMW, the Emap/ Wanadoo digital subsidiary. In 2006, he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Editions Mondadori France and headed all digital business for the Mondadori Group in 2007. In April 2009, he became Chief Executive Officer of Hearst UK. In 2011, on behalf of the Hearst Group, he led the acquisition of the 102 magazines of the Lagardere Group published abroad. He was later on appointed Executive Vice President of Hearst Magazines International before being appointed Managing Director Western Europe in August 2013. He was Chairman of ESCP Europe Alumni from 2011 to 2014. He is Vice Chairman of the Board of Telecom Italia, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Universal Music France, Member of the Supervisory Board of Canal+ Group and Studiocanal, member of the Advisory Committee of Innit, member of the Advisory Committee of Innit, Non-Executive Chairman of Gloo Networks plc, Chairman of the French-American Foundation. He is educated at the Paris European School of Management, France in MBA, ESCP, ESCP (1988), Harvard Business School (2000).

Christian Ringnes

Mr. Christian Ringnes has been Independent Member of the Board of Directors of Schibsted ASA since May 2005. He is Chairman of the Company's Audit Committee. He was Deputy Board Member in the Company from May 2002 to 2005. In addition, he has been Managing Director and the majority shareholder in Eiendomsspar AS and Victoria Eiendom AS since 1984. He also held the position of a Consultant (1981-1982) and Project Manager (1983-1984) at McKinsey & Company, INC - Scandinavia. He also worked for Manufactures Hanover Trust Company as Assistant to Area Manager, Nordic Countries between 1978 and 1979. He has also been Chairman of the Board of Pandox AB, NSV-Invest AS, Sundt AS, Dermanor AS, Oslo Flaggfabrikk AS and Mini Bottle Gallery AS. He is also Board Member of Norges Bank’s Real Estate Investment Board. He also holds various directorships in companies in the Eiendomsspar group. He studied at Harvard Business School, Boston, the United States between 1979 and 1981 where he received a Master of Business Administration degree. He also received a Master of Business Administration degree from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, Universite de Lausanne, where he studied between 1975 and 1978.

Birger Steen

Mr. Birger Steen has been Independent Member of the Board of Directors of Schibsted ASA since May 7, 2014. Birger Steen has been CEO of Parallels since 2010. He has also been Non-Executive Director of Nordea since 2015. He previously served as Vice President of Worldwide SMB and Distribution at Microsoft Corp. in Redmond and as General Manager of Microsoft Russia and Microsoft Norway. Prior to joining Microsoft in 2002, Birger was CEO of Scandinavia Online and Vice President of Business Development with Schibsted ASA. His first engagement with the Schibsted group took place while he worked for McKinsey & Company as a consultant and engagement manager from 1993 to 1996. Before joining McKinsey, Birger was as an Oil trader with Norwegian Oil Trading in Lithuania. Birger holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Industrial Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim. He also holds a degree in Russian Language from the Defense School of Intelligence and Security and received his MBA from INSEAD in France.

Eugenie van Wiechen

Ms. Eugenie van Wiechen has served as Independent Member of the Board of Directors in Schibsted ASA since May 11, 2012. She is Chief Executive Officer of FD Mediagroep, the Netherlands. Previously she was Managing Director in LinkedIn.com, the Netherlands (2009-2011); Managing Director in eBay.nl, Marktplaats.nl, the Netherlands (2008-2009) as well as Publisher in Young Women’s Magazines and Director Consumer Marketing (2006-2008) and Director of Consumer and Trade Marketing (2003-2006) in Sanoma Uitgevers, the Netherlands. She was also Management Consultant and Engagement Manager in McKinsey & Company, the Netherlands (1995-2003) and is winner of the Dutch Media Leadership award in 2016. She is Board Member at the Dutch Cancer Society since 2015, Member of the Dutch INSEAD Council since 2014 and Member of the Dutch McKinsey Alumni Board since 2013. She gained education at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, where she received Master of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1994. She also studied in INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France, and received Master of Business Administration degree in 1997.
