Name Description

Peter Loescher

Mr. Peter Loescher is Chairman of the Board of Directors at Sulzer Ltd since March 20, 2014. Currently, he is CEO and Delegate of the Board of Directors of Renova Management AG Switzerland (since 2014). Previously, he was President and CEO of the German company Siemens AG (2007 to 2013), Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Siemens Stiftung Germany (2008 to 2014), and served as President of Global Human Health and member of the Executive Board of Merck & Co., Inc., USA (2006 to 2007). From 2004 to 2006, he was CEO of Healthcare Bio-Sciences and member of the Corporate Executive Council of General Electric in the USA. He was COO and member of the Board of Amersham plc., UK (2002 to 2004). From 1999 to 2002, he acted as Chairman and CEO of Aventis Pharma Ltd in Japan. He held various senior leadership positions with Hoechst Group in Germany, Spain, the USA, and the UK (1987 to 1999). He holds a Diploma in Economics from Vienna University of Economics and Business Austria, and Chinese University of Hong Kong, China. He also holds Advanced Management Program from Harvard University, USA. He is Honorary Professor at Tongji University Shanghai and holds Honorary Doctorate of Engineering from Michigan State University and Doctor Honoris Causa of Slovak University of Engineering in Bratislava.

Greg Poux-Guillaume

Mr. Greg Poux-Guillaume is Chief Executive Officer of Sulzer Ltd., effective from December 01, 2015. He was President and CEO of Alstom Grid, a 4 billion euro business with 20 000 employees, from 2011 to 2015. During his tenure he transformed the business and repositioned it for profitable growth in a challenging market environment. From 2009 to 2011 he was Senior Managing Director of CVC Capital Partners, and from 2003 to 2009 he held various positions within the Alstom Group, including CEO of Hydro Power Plants and CEO of Environmental Control Systems, where he significantly accelerated business growth and improved margins. Before joining Alstom, he worked for Softbank and McKinsey, and held various positions at Total Exploration & Production. Greg Poux-Guillaume has worked in the UK, Angola, Myanmar and France. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the École Centrale in Paris and graduated with a Master of Sciences degree. He also holds an Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Matthias Bichsel

Mr. Matthias Bichsel is Vice Chairman of the Board of Sulzer Ltd since March 20, 2014. Currently, he is member of the Advisory Board of Chrysalix EVC in Canada (since 2015) and member of the Board of Directors of Canadian Utilities in Canada (since 2014). From 2009 to 2014, he was Member of the Executive Committee of Royal Dutch Shell plc and Director of its Projects and Technology Business, the Netherlands. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President Technical of Shell Exploration and Production (2006 to 2009) and was Executive Vice President for Shell’s Global Exploration (2002 to 2006). From 1999 to 2002, he was Managing Director of Shell Deepwater Services, USA. From 1995 to 1999, he was Exploration and Deep Oil Development Director of Petroleum Development Oman. He also held various positions with Shell Exploration and Production in Tanzania, Bangladesh, Oman, Canada, and Indonesia (1980 to 1995). He holds a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from University of Basel, Switzerland and he is Honorary Professor at Chinese University of Petroleum, China.

Mr. Thomas Dittrich resigned as Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Executive Board of Sulzer Ltd with effect from March 2018, a position he has held since December 1, 2015. He is no longer Interim Chief Executive Officer of Sulzer Ltd. He was Chief Financial Officer of Sulzer Ltd. Previously, he served as Vice President Finance Corporate Planning and Controlling and Chief Accounting Officer of Amgen Inc. in the USA (2010 to 2014). Prior to that, he was Vice President Finance and CFO of Amgen International headquartered in Switzerland (2006 to 2010). From 1998 to 2006, he held various Finance Director and General Manager roles of increasing scope and responsibility at Dell Inc. in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He was also Head of Business Development and Finance Director of the Swatch Group AG in Switzerland (1997 to 1998), Senior Associate of Booz & Co. in Germany (1992 to 1996), as well as Associate of Helbling Management Consulting AG in Switzerland (1991 to 1992). He holds Master of Science in Finance, Accounting, and Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Dipl. Ing.) from Technical University Munich, Germany.

Mr. Cesar Montenegro is Member of the Executive Board, Division President Pumps Equipment of Sulzer Ltd since 2014. Previously he was Division President of Sulzer Metco and Member of the Executive Board at the company since August 18, 2008. From 2002 until 2008, he was Head of the Business Area North America at Sulzer Pumps (US) Inc. From 1996 until 2001, he was Managing Director of Sulzer (Mexico) S.A. Prior to this, she served as Senior Vice President, Finance Strategy and Investments for Neptune Orient Lines in Singapore (2010 to 2011). She holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Nanyang Business School, Singapore and BA in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.

Mr. Marco Musetti is Member of the Board of Directors at Sulzer Ltd since April 14, 2011. He started his career in 1992 as Deputy Head of Metals Desk at Banque Bruxelles Lambert (Suisse) S.A.
