Name Description

Peter Loescher

Mr. Peter Loescher has been Chairman of the Board of Directors at Sulzer Ltd since March 20, 2014. He is Chairman of the Strategy Committee at the Company. Currently, he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of OMV, Austria, and member of the Board of Directors of Telefónica, Spain (since 2016). From 2014 to 2016, he was CEO and Delegate of the Board of Directors of Renova Management AG Switzerland. Previously, he was President and CEO of the German company Siemens AG (2007 to 2013), Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Siemens Stiftung Germany (2008 to 2014) and served as President of Global Human Health and Member of the Executive Board of Merck & Co., Inc., USA (2006 to 2007). From 2004 to 2006, he was CEO of Healthcare Bio-Sciences and Member of the Corporate Executive Council of General Electric in the US. He was COO and Member of the Board of Amersham plc., UK (2002 to 2004). From 1999 to 2002, he acted as Chairman and CEO of Aventis Pharma Ltd in Japan. He held various senior leadership positions with Hoechst Group in Germany, Spain, the US, and the UK (1987 to 1999). He holds a Diploma in Economics from Vienna University of Economics and Business Austria, and Chinese University of Hong Kong, China. He also completed Advanced Management Program at Harvard University, USA. He is Honorary Professor at Tongji University Shanghai and holds Honorary Doctorate of Engineering from Michigan State University and Doctor Honoris Causa of Slovak University of Engineering in Bratislava.

Greg Poux-Guillaume

Mr. Greg Poux-Guillaume has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, Member of the Executive Board of Sulzer Ltd effective as of April 5, 2018. He has held this position within the Company since December 1, 2015. Between March 2018 and April 5, 2018 he has also acted as Interim Chief Financial Officer at the Company. He joined from General Electric, where he had been named CEO of GE Grid Solutions upon the closing of GE’s takeover of Alstom’s energy businesses. Previously, he was Executive Vice President of Alstom Group, member of the Executive Committee and served as President and CEO of Alstom Grid (2011 – 2015). From 2009 to 2011, he was a Senior Managing Director at CVC Capital Partners. Prior to this, he held various positions with Alstom Group (2003 – 2008), in technology venture capital with Softbank and in consulting with McKinsey & Company. Gregoire started his career in Exploration and Production with Total (1993 – 1997). He holds Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris, France and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Matthias Bichsel

Mr. Matthias Bichsel has been Vice Chairman of the Board of Sulzer Ltd since March 20, 2014. He is Member of the Strategy Committee at the Company. Currently, he is member of the Board of Directors of Petrofac, UK (since 2015), member of the Board of Directors of South Pole Holding, Switzerland (since 2015), member of the Board of Directors of Canadian Utilities, Canada (since 2014), member of the Advisory Board of Chrysalix EVC, Canada (since 2015), and member of the Advisory Board of Highgate Capital Management LLP, UK (since 2015). From 2009 to 2014, he was member of the Executive Committee of Royal Dutch Shell plc and Director of its Projects and Technology Business, the Netherlands. Previously, during his international career with Shell since 1980, he served in various senior management roles such as Executive Vice President in Exploration and Production, the Netherlands, and CEO/Chairman of Shell International Exploration and Production Inc as well as Managing Director of Shell Deepwater Services, Houston, TX, USA. He holds a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from University of Basel, Switzerland and he is Honorary Professor at Chinese University of Petroleum, China.

Jill Lee

Ms. Jill Lee has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Executive Board of Sulzer Ltd effective as of April 5, 2018. She has served as Member of the Board of Directors of the Company since April 2011. She has been Member of the Audit Committee and Member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee at the Company. Currently, she is the Senior Group Vice President and Head of Next Level Program Management of ABB Ltd. From 2012 to 2014, she was the Senior Vice President and CFO for ABB China and North Asia Region. Prior to this, she served as Senior Vice President, Finance Strategy and Investments for Neptune Orient Lines in Singapore (2010 to 2011). She has also held a number of positions with Siemens, including global Chief Diversity Officer (2008 to 2010), CFO and Senior Executive Vice President of Siemens in China (2004 to 2008), CFO and Senior Vice President of Siemens in Singapore (2000 to 2004), CFO Asia Pacific and General Manager of the Asia Regional Headquarters of Siemens Electromechanical Components in Singapore (1997 to 2000). She holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Nanyang Business School, Singapore and Bachelor of Business Administration from National University of Singapore.

Armand Sohet

Mr. Armand Sohet has been Chief Human Resources Officer and Member of the Executive Board of Sulzer Ltd since March 2016. He was Human Resources Senior Executive Leader of GE Grid Solutions from 2015 to 2016. Before, he was Head of Human Resources at Alstom Grid (2011 – 2015). From 2010 to 2011, he served as Group Vice President of Constellium. From 2007 to 2010, he led Human Resources for Thales Defence & Security C4I Systems. He previously held various positions at Novartis in Switzerland and in France, including Head of Human Resources of the Ophtha business unit, Basel, Switzerland (2006 – 2007), Head of Human Resources of Western and Central Europe, Basel (2004 – 2006), Head of Human Resources of Novartis France (2000 – 2004), and Human Resources Manager of Field Forces and Marketing at Novartis Pharma France (1998 – 2000). Mr. Sohet started his career at Peugeot PSA, where he served in various managerial positions in the field of Human Resources (1989 – 1998). He has a Diploma in Mathematics and Sociology from Besancon University (Universite de Franche-Comte) and is a graduate of Institut d’Etudes Politiques Paris, France.

Frederic Lalanne

Mr. Frederic Lalanne has been Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer and Member of the Executive Board of Sulzer Ltd since June 2016. He joined from General Electric Grid Solutions in France, where he was Vice President Global Sales and Marketing (2015 – 2016). Previously, he was Senior Vice President Global Sales and Marketing at Alstom Grid in France (2012 – 2015). He worked as Managing Director of Catering International and Services, France (2011 – 2012), and was President Cegelec Worldwide Business of the Belgium-based company Cegelec (2008 – 2011). From 2005 to 2007, he served as Managing Director Alstom Projects India Ltd and Vice President Sales and Marketing Alstom Power in India. Before that, he held various positions as General Manager and Sales and Marketing Director at Pauwels Group in Belgium and Indonesia (1996 – 2004). He completed International Executive Program at Insead, holds Master in International Politics from Universite Libre de Bruxelles, postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Sorbonne, Paris and Master of Sciences and Technology from Angers University.

Daniel Bischofberger

Mr. Daniel Bischofberger has been Member of the Executive Board and Division President Rotating Equipment Services at Sulzer Ltd since September 2016. Previously, he worked as Local Division Manager Power Products at ABB Switzerland (2011 – 2016). From 2004 to 2011, he was Head of Alstom’s Gas Turbine Service Business, Switzerland. Before, he was Head of Corporate Development and Assistant to the CEO at the Swiss-based Daetwyler Holding Ltd (2002 – 2004). From 2000 – 2002, he acted as Head of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for a business unit of ABB High-Voltage Technologies Ltd, Switzerland. He started his career as Commissioning Engineer for gas turbine power plants at ABB Power Generation in the USA and Libya and gradually took over different managing positions in the USA, Switzerland, and Malaysia (1993 – 1998). He has Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich, completed and MBA Program at Insead, Fontainebleau, and completed ABB Senior Leadership Development Program at IMD Lausanne.

Michael Streicher

Mr. Michael Streicher has been Member of the Executive Board and Division President Pumps Equipment of Sulzer Ltd since January 1, 2018. He came to Sulzer in 1994 as an engineer in Germany. He became General Manager of the German pump service business in 1998 and was appointed Managing Director of Sulzer Pumps Germany in 2007. He moved to Switzerland in 2011 as Director of Wastewater Solutions. From 2014 to 2016, he served as Head of the Power and Spare Parts Business Units, and from 2016 to 2017 as Vice President of the EMEA region for the Rotating Equipment Services division. He holds and Executive MBA from ESSEC Paris & Mannheim Business School, France and Germany and a Dipl. Ing. degree in Mechanical engineering from University of applied sciences, Karlsruhe, Germany.

Torsten Wintergerste

Mr. Torsten Wintergerste has been Member of the Executive Board and Division President Chemtech at Sulzer Ltd since June 2016. He has been Head of Chemtech’s business unit Separation Technology for Europe, Middle East, India, Russia, and Africa since 2012. He joined Sulzer in 1998, first within the research and development unit Sulzer Innotec, where he became Head of the groupwide center of excellence for fluid technology. From 2006 to 2012, he worked in various managing positions within Sulzer’s division Chemtech, amongst others Director Polymer Technology as well as Manager Technology and Business Development of the Sulzer Mixpac business unit. Before joining Sulzer, he was a research associate at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich in Switzerland (1994 – 1998) and at the National Aeronautics and Space Research Center in Germany (1992 – 1994). He holds Master of Business Administration (Executive MBA) from University of St. Gallen, Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland and Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from University of Stuttgart, Germany.

Axel Heitmann

Mr. Axel C. Heitmann has been Member of the Board of Directors of Sulzer Ltd since April 7, 2016. He is Member of the Audit Committee at the Company. Currently, he is member of the Board of Directors of a family holding and Senior Advisor to H.I.G. Capital, United Kingdom. He served as Chairman of the Board of Management (CEO) of Lanxess AG, Germany (2004 – 2014). Previously, he held various international leadership positions within Bayer AG. He was member of the Executive Committee of Bayer Polymers AG and responsible for the Asia-Pacific region based in Shanghai (2002 – 2004). Further, he was Head of the Rubber Division of Bayer AG (2001), where he was responsible for its integration into the newly formed Bayer Polymers AG. Prior to 2001, he held various international management positions within the Bayer Group such as CEO of Wolff Walsrode AG, Head of Manufacturing of PolymerLatex, and Site Manager at Bayer plc, UK. Amongst others, he served as President of the Committee for Foreign Trade of the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (BDI), member of the Asia Pacific Committee of German Business (APA), member of the Presidential Council of the German Chemical Industry Federation (VCI), member of the Presidential Council of the German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV), and member of the Advisory Board of the NRW.Bank, Germany, until 2014. He holds a Diploma in Chemistry from University of Hamburg, Germany, and University of Southampton, UK and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from University of Hamburg, Germany.

Mikhail Lifshitz

Mr. Mikhail Lifshitz has been Member of the Board of Directors of Sulzer Ltd since April 7, 2016. He is Member of the Strategy Committee at the Company. He has been High-Tech Assets Development Director of Renova Group since 2009 and CEO (2009 – 2015) as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors (since 2015) of Rotec — a company owned by Renova Group. Furthermore, he has chaired the Board of Directors of Ural Turbine Works (since 2012), and served as member of the Board of Directors of Oerlikon AG (2013 - 2016). Previously, he was Founder and President of the Global Edge Group (2001 – 2009) and Marketing Director of the USSR International Economic Cooperation Association of small and medium enterprises (1991 – 1994). He has a degree in Electronic Engineering from Bauman Moscow State Technical University and graduated from Russia Air Force Academy, Russia.

Marco Musetti

Mr. Marco Musetti has been Member of the Board of Directors at Sulzer Ltd since April 14, 2011. He is Member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee at the Company. Since 2016, he has been member of the Board of Directors of United Company Rusal Plc and since 2013, he has been Board member of Schmolz+Bickenbach AG. He was COO and deputy CEO of Aluminium Silicon Marketing (Sual Group) (2000 to 2007), Head of Metals and Structured Finance Desk for Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (1998 to 2000), and Deputy Head of Metals Desk for Banque Bruxelles Lambert (1992 to 1998). Mr. Musetti holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance degree, obtained from London School of Economics and Political Science, as well as Major degree in Economics from Universite de Lausanne (the University of Lausanne).

Gerhard Roiss

Mr. Gerhard Roiss has been Member of the Board of Directors of Sulzer Ltd since April 1, 2015. He is Member of the Strategy Committee at the Company. He served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board of OMV AG (2011 – 2015). During more than two decades, he has held a variety of leadership positions within OMV AG. Among other functions, he has led the Refining and Marketing division (2002 – 2011), the Exploration and Production division (2000 – 2002), and the Chemicals and Plastics division (1997 – 2002). He was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Petrol Ofisi A.S., Istanbul, Turkey (2010 – 2015), Chairman of the Supervisory Board of OMV Petrom S.A., Bucharest, Romania (2011 – 2015), and Chairman / Vice Chairman of the Board of Borealis AG, Vienna, Austria (1997 – 2011). He holds Ph.D. degree in Economics from Johannes Kepler University of Linz.

Christoph Ladner
