Name Description

Gunn Waersted

Ms. Gunn Waersted has been Chair of the Board of TELENOR ASA since January 14, 2016. She is Chair of the People and Governance Committee and Member of the Innovation and Technology Committee. She most recently served as Executive Vice President and member of the Group Executive Management in Nordea Bank and Country Senior Executive in Nordea Bank Norway (until 2016). During her career, she has held a number of senior executive positions within banking and insurance, among these are positions as CEO of SpareBank 1 Gruppen and the SpareBank 1 Alliansen, Group Executive Vice President of DNB and CEO of Vital Forsikring. She is Chair of the Board of Petoro and Member of the Board of Nationwide. She has previously been a board member of Statoil, Statkraft and Kreditforeningen, as well as Chair of the Boards of Ferd Holding and BI, among others. She holds Master in Business and Economics (sivilokonom) from BI Norwegian Business School.

Sigve Brekke

Mr. Sigve Brekke has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Telenor ASA, effective as of August 17, 2015. He no longer serves as Executive Vice President and Head of Asia region within the Company, effective as of August 16, 2015. He has held this position since September 1, 2008. He joined Telenor in 1998 as Advisor and then Telenor Singapore office in 1999 as Manager Business Development and later Managing Director. Mr. Brekke served as co-Chief Executive Officer of dtac from 2002 to 2005, and Chief Executive Officer in dtac from 2005 to 2008. Prior to joining Telenor, Mr. Brekke served as the Deputy Minister (State Secretary) of Defense in Norway in 1993, and also held the position of Associate at the Center for Science and International Affairs, at Harvard University in the United States. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.

Jorgen Kildahl

Mr. Jorgen Kildahl has served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Telenor ASA since June 12, 2017. He has been Director of the Company since May 10, 2017. He is Member of the Risk and Audit Committee and the Sustainability and Compliance Committee. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Hoegh LNG, Orsted and eSmart Systems. Kildahl has previously served as a member of the Board of Management in E.ON SE, and as an Executive Vice President in Statkraft. He has also been a partner in the PR consulting group Geelmuyden Kiese. Kildahl holds a business degree (sivilokonom) and a MBA in Finance from the NHH Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen.

Jorgen Arentz Rostrup

Mr. Jorgen C. Arentz Rostrup has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Telenor ASA, effective as of November 1, 2016. He has more than 20 years of business experience in an international context. He has been President of Yara North America, Inc. He has a broad range of management positions in two of Norway's leading companies, including Country Manager for Yara Ghana Ltd., CFO in Norsk Hydro AS, Executive Vice President Energy in Hydro and CFO for Hydro's Norwegian oil and gas activity. He has also been on several boards, including positions within the private equity and investment banking area. He holds a Master's Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Cecilie Heuch

Ms. Cecilie Blydt Heuch has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer at TELENOR ASA, effective as of December 1, 2017. She has more than 25 years of international business experience. She comes from the position as Chief HR Officer of DNV GL Group, a position she has held since 2006. Previous working experience includes different managerial positions in Norsk Hydro, including 4 years as Business Manager and Business Development Manager in Hydro Agri (today Yara) in Italy. She is currently Board Member of Fred Olsen Energy. She holds a Master's Degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics, a Diploma of Business Studies from Henley Management College in the UK, and a degree from the Institut d`Etudes Politiques de Paris, in France.

Ruza Sabanovic

Ms. Ruza Sabanovic has been appointed Executive Vice President and Head of Technologies & Services at Telenor ASA, effective as of March 1, 2017. She has previously been Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at TELENOR ASA since October 12, 2015. Ruza Sabanovic joined the green field operations in Telenor Montenegro in 1996. Since 2014 she was SVP Technology and Industrialized projects, part of the Group Industrialized Development team. She has previously served as Chief Operating Officer in Telenor India and was also heading Group network function and Group CTO forum. From 1994-2008 Ruza served as the assistant professor at the Civil Engineering Faculty University of Montenegro. She holds Master of Civil Engineering, Technology from University Belgrade, Serbia.

Svein Kirkeng

Mr. Svein Henning Kirkeng has been Executive Vice President, Head of Products and Marketing at TELENOR ASA since June 1, 2017. He has a 20 year track record with Telenor. After joining Telenor Norway’s Mobile unit in 1995, he held several management positions in the company, predominantly within international mobile. In 2007, he became Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Consumer Markets for Telenor Norway. From 2012 Kirkeng joined Telenor Digital and was appointed Chief Commercial Officer in 2013. He joined Telia in June 2016 as CMO for their Norwegian operation but returned to Telenor in June 2017 to lead the new Products & Marketing global unit. Kirkeng holds Master of Marketing and Management from Norwegian Business School (BI).

Petter Furberg

Mr. Petter-Borre Furberg has been appointed Executive Vice President Emerging Asia Cluster at Telenor ASA, effective as of March 1, 2017. He has also been Acting Executive Vice President & Head of Digital Businesses since January 1, 2018. He was previously Executive Vice President and Acting Chief Executive Officer of Grameenphone, Bangladesh within Telenor ASA from November 1, 2016 till March 1, 2017. He no longer serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Telenor Myanmar at TELENOR ASA effective as of July 31, 2016. He has held this position since October 12, 2015. Since joining Telenor 14 years ago, Mr. Furberg has held a number of senior management positions within the company, including dtac’s CFO and Chief Marketing Officer, where he oversaw product development, sales and marketing. He also previously served as Senior Vice President, Head of Financial Services at Telenor Group. Prior to joining Telenor he held senior positions with the Norwegian Parliament and Norwegian Ministry of Finance. Furberg holds a degree in economics and business administration based on a four year program (Sivilokonom) from the Norwegian School of Economics and is a Certified European Financial Analyst (AFA/CEFA).

Anne Kvam

Ms. Anne Kvam has been appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at TELENOR ASA effective as of October 1, 2018. Kvam comes from the position as Head of Responsible Investments at KLP Kapitalforvaltning AS, where she was also part of the management team. Prior to this she worked at DNV GL as Principal Consultant Sustainability, Global Head of Ownership Policies at Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), as well as various managerial positions at Norske Skogindustrier ASA, including General Counsel. Kvam has board experience, and has served two years as member of Telenor’s Corporate Assembly. She holds a Masters of Business Administration from University College Dublin and a law degree from the University of Oslo, specializing in international human rights.

Albern Murty

Mr. Albern Murty has been appointed Executive Vice President Developed Asia Cluster, Chief Executive Officer of Digi at Telenor ASA effective as of August 1, 2018. He no longer serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Digi, Malaysia at TELENOR ASA, effective as of March 1, 2017. He has held the position since October 12, 2015. Albern Murty has spent the last 13 years in a variety of senior executive roles in Digi. In January 2014, Albern became the company’s COO after serving as Chief Marketing Officer for a number of years. Before Digi, his previous experience includes business and commercial management roles in Lucent Technologies across the Asian region. Albern holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Bachelor of Science in Advertising Management from Portland State University, Oregon, USA.

Morten Sorby

Mr. Morten Karlsen Sorby has been Executive Vice President and Acting Cluster Head Scandinavia at Telenor ASA since September 4, 2018. He has previously been Executive Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer of Telenor ASA since November 1, 2016. He has been EVP since October 12, 2015. He no longer serves as Acting Chief Financial Officer of the Company effective as of October 31, 2016. He has held this position since November 12, 2015. He has been responsible for Telenor’s ownership in VimpelCom & selected strategic projects since October 12, 2015. Before that, he has been Executive Vice President and Head of Asia region at Telenor ASA since June 1, 2015. He was Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Strategy and Regulatory Affairs of the Company from September 14, 2011 until June 1, 2015. He was Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Development in the Company from April 17, 2009. He has been Executive Vice President of the Company since January 2003. He was Head of Telenor's Norwegian and Nordic Mobile and Fixed Network Operations between January 2005 and April 17, 2009. He joined Telenor in 1993. In 2014, Sorby was CEO of Uninor, Telenor's wholly owned operations in India. He previously worked at Arthur Andersen & Co in Oslo. Mr. Sorby holds Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Karlstad. He has also completed additional education from IMD in Switzerland and is a state-authorized public accountant in Norway.

Jacob Aqraou

Mr. Jacob Fonnesbech Aqraou has been Director of TELENOR ASA since May 11, 2016. He is Member the People and Governance Committee and Chair of the Innovation and Technology Committee. Mr. Aqraou had a long career at eBay including positions as Senior Vice President of Europe Middle East and Africa, and General Manager eBay Classifieds Group. Prior to joining eBay in 2002, Aqraou was the founder of Finexia and has also worked in investment banking and management consulting. Aqraou holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School, as well as a Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Sally Davis

Ms. Sally M. Davis has served as Member of the Board of Directors of Telenor ASA since November 23, 2011. She is also Chair of the Sustainability and Compliance Committee and Member of the Innovation and Technology Committee of the Company. She has held a number of executive positions at British Telecom Group since 1999, including President of BT Global Services and Chief Executive of BT Wholesale Division. She has also held managing roles at Bell Atlantic and Mercury Communications. She is on the Boards of Logitech, Switzerland and Cityfibre Holdings in the United Kingdom (UK). Her previous board positions include Henderson Smaller Cap Investment Trust, Inet, the UK Department for Transport and the BBC. She has worked in the global telecommunications industry for thirty years, working for start-up cable companies in the UK as well as strategy and global operational roles based in the United States and UK for Cable & Wireless, Verizon and BT. Most recently, she acted as Chief Executive Officer of BT Wholesale. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors and is a Fellow of University College, London.

Rene Obermann

Mr. Rene Richard Obermann has been Director of TELENOR ASA since January 1, 2018. He has broad experience from the telecom industry, most recently as the CEO of Ziggo, the largest cable telecom company in the Netherlands. Obermann has also been the CEO of Deutsche Telekom AG from 2006-2013. Obermann’s career includes CEO roles in T-Mobile and Hutchison Mobilfunk and he founded ABC Telekom in 1986. He has also served as the Vice President of the German Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media from 2007-2013. Mr. Obermann is currently Managing Director and Partner at Warburg Pincus, a leading private equity firm, a role he has held since 2015. He is Industrial merchant – completed a commercial apprenticeship at BMW after high school and air force service.

Sabah Qayyum

Ms. Sabah Qayyum has been Director, Employee Representative at TELENOR ASA since June 19, 2017. She is Member of the Innovation and Technology Committee. Started in Telenor as a consultant in 2012. She has experience from different divisions in Telenor, latest Business. She is also employee representative for the union EL og IT for the division Technology in Telenor Norway and board member of EL og IT Telenor. She holds Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from University of Oslo.

Jon Reinhardsen

Mr. Jon Erik Reinhardsen has been Member of the Board of Directors of Telenor ASA since May 14, 2014. He is Chair of the Company's Risk and Audit Committee and Member of the People and Governance Committee. He previously was Member of the Ethics and Sustainability Committee. He was CEO of Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS), a position he has held from April 2008 till September 2017. Prior to joining PGS, he has held executive positions in Alcoa, Aker Kvaerner and Aker Maritime. He is Member of the Board of Directors of Awilhelmsen Management AS, Borregaard ASA and Oceaneering International, Inc. He served on the Board of Cameron International Corp (2009-2016), Hoegh Autoliners AS (2006-2014) and Hoegh LNG Holdings Ltd (2006-2014). He obtained a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Geophysics from the University of Bergen, Norway. In 1991 he completed the International Executive Program at the Institute for Management Development (IMD) Lausanne, Switzerland.

Roger Ronning

Mr. Roger Ronning has been Director, Employee Representative at TELENOR ASA since June 19, 2017. He is Member of the Sustainability and Compliance Committee. He is chairman of the Union Negotia in Telenor in Norway, and has held this position since 2016. From 2007 to 2016 he has been employee representative for the union Negotia in Telenor Norway AS. He is a board member of the Telenor Pension Fund (Telenor Pensjonskasse) since 2016 and has been employed by Telenor since 1985. NKS IT and NKS Marketing (correspondence studies), and internal courses in Telenor.

Harald Stavn

Mr. Harald Stavn has served as Employee Representative on the Board of Directors of Telenor ASA since June 20, 2000. He is Member of the Risk and Audit Committee and People and Governance Committee of the Company. Mr. Stavn joined Telenor in 1974, and has held various positions. He is Member of the Board of Directors of Telenor Pensjonskasse (Telenor Pension Fund) and Chairman of the Executive Board of NITO (the Norwegian Society of Engineers) at Telenor. Mr. Stavn has a technical education from the internal education system of Norwegian Telecom and was also educated as a Business Economist at the Norwegian School of Management (Handelshoyskolen BI) in Oslo.

Grethe Viksaas

Ms. Grethe H. Viksaas has served as Member of the Board of Directors of Telenor ASA since May 10, 2017. She is Member of the Risk and Audit Committee and the Sustainability and Compliance Committee. Ms. Viksaas has had a long career in Northern European managed services provider Basefarm AS - first as founder, CEO and from 2016 as working chair. Prior to her career in Basefarm, Viksaas served as CEO for SOL System AS and Infostream ASP. Viksaas has experience from numerous board positions, including Zenitel Group, and Inmeta-Crayon. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Norsk Regnesentral and is board member in IKT- Norge and Crayon. Ms. Viksaas has a master's degree in computer science from the University of Oslo.
