Tom Barton |
Mr. Tom K. Barton is appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Director of the company effective April 2, 2018. From November 2014 through February 2018, Mr. Barton served as Chief Operating Officer of Planet Labs, a developer and operator of a fleet of imaging satellites. From May 2007 to March 2018, Mr. Barton was a general partner at Broken Arrow Venture Capital, a private investment firm. From May 2012 through October 2013, Mr. Barton was chief executive officer of Canara, a full-service solutions provider serving global markets with UPS and battery monitoring systems. From December 2002 through April 2007, Mr. Barton served as the President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Rackable Systems, a manufacturer of compute and storage products. From June 2002 to December 2002, Mr. Barton provided consulting services to Rackable Systems as a consultant at Callero Partners. From September 2000 to May 2002, Mr. Barton was a Venture Partner and Entrepreneur in Residence at Lightspeed Venture Partners. From November 1999 to May 2000, Mr. Barton was Senior Vice President of Client Services at Red Hat, Inc., a software and services company. Mr. Barton joined Red Hat via its acquisition of Cygnus Solutions, a software development tools company. From August 1996 to its acquisition by Red Hat in November 1999, Mr. Barton held many positions at Cygnus Solutions, including interim CEO. Mr. Barton holds an A.B. in History, a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. |
Kieran Harty |
Dr. Kieran Harty, Ph.D., is a Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer, Director of the Company. Prior to becoming CTO, Kieran served as CEO and Chairman of Tintri. Before founding Tintri, he was Executive Vice President of R&D at VMware for seven years, where he was responsible for all products. He led the delivery of the first and subsequent releases of ESX Server, Virtual Center and VMware’s desktop products. Before VMware, he was Vice President of R&D at Visigenic/Borland and Chief Scientist at TIBCO. Kieran has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin. |

Mr. Mark Gritter is a Architect & Co-Founder of the Company. Mark was in the Ph.D. program in Computer Science in Stanford University when he decided to join Kealia as one of the first employees. While at Kealia and later when it was acquired by Sun Microsystems, Mark worked on video streaming and storage and system management. He has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Stanford University. |
Ian Halifax |
Mr. Ian Halifax is no longer Chief Financial Officer of the Company effective as of April 30, 2018. Ian has held a range of public and private company CFO roles. He served as CFO at Wind River Systems, a publicly-traded company providing embedded operating systems software, where he drove significant increases in revenue and profitability prior to its acquisition by Intel. Ian also served as a public-company CFO at Micromuse and Macrovision. In the early part of his career, he held finance positions at Sun Microsystems and KPMG. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of York and an MBA from Henley Management College in the United Kingdom. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant. |
Thomas Ellery |
Mr. Thomas Ellery was a Executive Vice President - Worldwide Sales of Tintri Inc. Prior to joining Tintri, Tom progressed through the sales organization at Brocade, rising from Director of Enterprise Sales to Vice President of Americas Sales. While at Brocade, he was responsible for developing and managing Brocade’s sales and go-to-market activities. In addition to his networking experience, Tom worked in the storage industry at EMC for several years and was Executive Vice President in charge of sales and marketing for the MIT startup, SensAble Technologies. Tom holds a BS in Business Management from West Virginia University. |
Tony Chang |
Mr. Tony Chang is a Executive Vice President - Engineering of the Company. He joined in 2015 after spending eight years at NetApp in engineering leadership roles, including leading the ONTAP team of 1,600 people worldwide. Prior to that, Tony served as VP of Engineering at LogLogic, which pioneered log management and was later acquired by Tibco. Tony was also SVP of Product Development at Foundstone (acquired by McAfee), where he led engineering, QA, customer support and the R&D lab. Tony holds a Master’s degree in computer science from Stevens Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in material science from the National Tsing Hua University. |
Yael Zheng |
Ms. Yael Zheng is a Chief Marketing Officer of the Company. Yael brings to Tintri deep domain experience and marketing leadership helping some of the most successful companies in industry scale through rapid growth and achieve market leading positions. As VP of Marketing at VMware, Yael led the corporate and worldwide marketing teams and drove key initiatives that supported the company's hyper growth from a multi-hundred million to a post-IPO multi-billion dollar company and the undisputed leader in virtualization. Prior to VMware, Yael held numerous senior management positions at Sun Microsystems, including leading the marketing team for Sun’s highly successful service provider business unit. Yael holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. |
Camellia Ngo |
Ms. Camellia Ngo is a Chief People Officer of the company. Camellia brings extensive human resources leadership experience that spans private and public technology companies. Prior to Tintri, Camellia served as SVP of Human Resources at Affymetrix, a biotechnology provider of life science tools and molecular diagnostic products. From 2000-2011, she served as Vice President of Human Resources at Magma Design Automation (acquired by Synopsys), where she contributed to the company's high growth from pre-IPO to over 1,000 employees globally. Camellia also held leadership roles in compensation consulting, and practiced international business, insurance and employment law. She holds a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley in Organizational Development Psychology, and a Juris Doctorate from UC Hastings College of the Law. She is an alumna of Stanford Graduate School of Business, Human Resources for Strategic Advantage program. |
