Name Description

Martin Komischke

Dr. Martin Komischke has been Chairman of the Board of VAT Group Ltd since May 2017. From 2004 to 2016, Dr. Komischke served as Chief Executive Officer of HOERBIGER Holding AG following his function as Head of the Strategic Business Unit Drive Technology and Member of the Executive Board from 1996 to 2003. Before that, he held various functions at Kolbenschmidt AG and Mannesmann-Sachs AG. Dr. Komischke currently serves as Chairman of the Board of HOERBIGER Holding AG (since 2016) and HOERBIGER GmbH (since 1993). He is also Member of the Board of Directors of Stäubli Holding AG (since 2016), Member of the Supervisory Board of Aixtron SE (since 2013) and Vice President of the Board of Trustees of HOERBIGER Foundation (since 2016).

Heinz Kundert

Mr. Heinz Kundert was Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Executive Committee of VAT Group Ltd from June 2015 to 2018. Mr. Kundert was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of VAT Holding AG in 2014. He has experience in the semiconductor industry. Beginning in 1981, Mr. Kundert served in various management positions in Asia for Balzers AG (which later became Balzers & Leybold), a division of OerlikonBuhrle AG (later renamed Unaxis Holding AG), a global supplier of thin-film equipment for various applications. In 1991, he subsequently became the Head of Oerlikon-Buhrle’s Electronic Equipment Business Unit, and then, in 1995, he assumed responsibility for Balzers Process Systems. From 1999 to 2004, Mr. Kundert served as COO and then CEO of Unaxis Holding AG (later renamed OC Oerlikon AG). At Oerlikon- Buhrle AG, Mr. Kundert participated in the acquisition of Leybold AG and the divestments of Pfeiffer AG and lnficon AG. Thereafter, Mr. Kundert worked as a strategy consultant until 2015. Between 2002 and 2015, Mr. Kundert served on the Board of Directors of SEMI International, a global semiconductor industry association serving the manufacturing supply chain for the micro- and nanoelectronics industries, in San Jose, CA, USA, and was elected Vice President in 2005. In 2005, he was also appointed President of SEMI Europe in Berlin. Mr. Kundert currently serves on the Board of Directors of Camox GP Ltd, an investment fund, (since 2014) and on the advisory board of the Fraunhofer Society in Germany (since 2010). Mr. Kundert holds a federal certificate of mechanical engineering and a degree in industry management from ITA Switzerland as well as a degree in business management from the FAH I University of St. Gallen.

Alfred Gantner

Mr. Alfred Gantner has been Vice Chairman of the Board of VAT Group Ltd since March 2016. Mr. Gantner was Member of the Board of Directors of VAT Holding AG from 2014 to 2016. Mr. Gantner co-founded Partners Group in 1996 and is a Partner serving as the Chairman of Partners Group’s Global Investment Committee and a Member of Partners Group Holding AG’s Board of Directors. Mr. Gantner also currently serves as Member of the Board of Directors for two charities in addition to serving as a Chairman of the Board of Directors of PG3 AG (since 2013) and Cap-Real AG (since 2015), and as Director of LGT Private Equity Advisers AG, Partners Group AG, Nivalion AG, North Colours AG, Wildbiene + Partner AG, Bruggeboge plus AG, Fermaca Luxembourg S.a r.l. and PCI Pharma Services (USA). Mr. Gantner holds an MBA from the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Management, Utah, USA.

Andreas Leutenegger

Mr. Andreas Leutenegger has been Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Executive Committee of VAT Group Ltd since May 2015. He started his career in 1994 in the audit department of KPMG in Zurich. Between 1999 and 2004, he served as a Corporate Controller and then Head of Corporate Reporting at Holcim Group and between 2004 and 2010 he served as Chief Financial Officer of Siam City Cement Public Company Limited, a member of the Holcim Group at the time. From 2010 until 2015, he was Head of Group Controlling at Holcim Group. Mr. Leutenegger holds a Master’s degree in business administration from the University of St. Gallen, is a Swiss Certified Public Accountant and completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP 166) at Harvard Business School in 2004.

Juergen Krebs

Dr. Juergen Krebs has been Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Executive Committee of VAT Group Ltd since July 1, 2017. Previously, Dr. Krebs was Executive Vice President, Operations, and Member of the Group Executive Board at Hauni Maschinenbau AG, Hamburg, Germany, a position he held from 2004. Before that, Dr. Krebs held various management positions at Heidelberg Druckmaschinen AG and Heidelberg Web Systems Inc. Dr. Krebs holds an engineering degree from Technische Universitat Kaiserslautern, Germany, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Aitor Galdos

Dr. Aitor Galdos serves as Member of the Group Management Board and Head of Corporate Development and Innovation at VAT Group Ltd. Before joining VAT in 2015, he held senior positions in Business Development and Corporate Strategy with Landis & Gyr, IMG, VP Bank and OC Oerlikon (formerly Unaxis). From 2003 to 2005, he was Chief Executive Officer of Tecan. Dr. Galdos studied mechanical engineering at the Simon Bolivar University in Caracas, Venezuela, and received two Master’s degrees at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, USA, in both mechanical engineering and metallurgy. He subsequently took his doctor’s degree at the University of Tokyo, Japan, in the Department of Nuclear Engineering, and worked for two years in teaching and research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston. He also earned an MBA degree at the University of Syracuse, NY.

Urs Gantner

Mr. Urs Gantner has been Member of the Group Management Board and Head of the Business Unit SEMI at VAT Group Ltd since September 2016. Prior to joining VAT in 2004, he was with Hamilton Medical and for seven years in the Energy and Environment Department of Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), a National Research Facility in Switzerland. Mr. Gantner holds a Master in Engineering Sciences from Eidgenoessische Technische Hochschule Zuerich.

Egon Haemmerle

Mr. Egon Haemmerle serves as Member of the Group Management Board and Head of Operations at VAT Group Ltd. Prior to joining VAT in 2013, he was with Leica Microsystems and Plaston Group where he was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2009. He holds a degree in electronics engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Buchs (NTB Interstaatliche Hochschule fuer Technik Buchs).

Benjamin Loh

Mr. Benjamin G. Loh is Member of the Group Management Board, Head of Global Sales and Sales Asia of VAT Group Ltd. He has over 20 years of experience in the vacuum and coating industries, having held senior executive positions with Nasdaq listed companies such as Veeco Instruments, where he in his last position was responsible for global sales, and Fei, where he had senior management positions in operations and sales and served as Chief Operating Officer from 2013 to 2015. Mr. Loh studied in Singapore and Japan and has a degree in electronics.

Gebhard Lutz

Mr. Gebhard Lutz serves as Member of the Group Management Board and Head of Modules at VAT Group Ltd. He joined VAT in 2001 where he was charged with the management of the multi valve modules product group. Mr. Lutz is a graduate in systems engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Buchs (NTB).

Ronald Pschenitschnigg

Mr. Ronald Pschenitschnigg serves as Member of the Group Management Board and Head of Global Services at VAT Group Ltd. He joined VAT in 2003 and has over 22 years of experience in the vacuum and coating industries. Mr. Pschenitschnigg’s earlier positions were at Balzers Process Systems and Unaxis Balzers. He is a graduate in electrical engineering from HTL Rankweil and obtained an MBA in International Management from the University of Applied Sciences in Dornbirn (Fachhochschule Vorarlberg).

Michael Zickar

Dr. Michael Zickar serves as Member of the Group Management Board and Head of Corporate Research of VAT Group Ltd. Prior to joining VAT in 2012, he was with Schott Schweiz AG where he was responsible for the Systems Engineering Department, building high performance inspection systems for the pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Zickar holds a Ph.D. in micro electro mechanical systems from Universite de Neuchatel and a Master of Advanced Studies in Management, Technology & Economy from Eidgenoessische Technische Hochschule Zuerich.

Arno Zindel

Mr. Arno Zindel has been Member of the Group Management Board and Head of Bellows / GVA at VAT Group Ltd since September 2016. He is experienced in the vacuum and coating industry from his former positions like applications engineer, project manager, head of product group and head of product development Unaxis, Oerlikon and TEL Solar for many years. His last position was Head of Development in a textile machine company. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a MBA from the University of Applied Sciences in Chur.

Juergen Zoller

Mr. Juergen Zoller serves as Member of the Group Management Board and Head of Displays / Solar at VAT Group Ltd. He joined VAT in 2000 and has been instrumental in establishing the Display and Solar organization. Mr. Zoller is a graduate in Technical Production Management of the University of Applied Sciences in Dornbirn (Fachhochschule Vorarlberg).

Ulrich Eckhardt

Mr. Ulrich Eckhardt has been Director at VAT Group Ltd since March 2016. He was Chairman of the Board at the Company from February 2016. He is Member of the Audit Committee and the Nomination and Compensation Committee at the Company. Mr. Eckhardt was Member of the Board of Directors of VAT Holding AG from 2014 to 2016. Hermann Gerlinger

Dr. Hermann Gerlinger has been Director at VAT Group Ltd since May 2017. Between 2001 and 2016, Dr. Gerlinger was Chief Executive Officer of Carl Zeiss SMT AG and from 2006 to 2016 also Member of the Executive Board of Carl Zeiss AG. Before that he held various function for Carl Zeiss SMT AG and ZEISS AG. Dr. Gerlinger currently serves as advisor to the Executive Board of Carl Zeiss AG (since 2017), as Member of the Supervisory Board of Siltronic AG (since 2011) and as Member of the Advisory Board of the German National Metrology Institute (PTB) (since 2015).

Urs Leinhaeuser

Mr. Urs Leinhaeuser has been Director at VAT Group Ltd since March 2016. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee at the Company. From 1995 to 1999, he was Head of Corporate Controlling at Georg Fischer AG and later Head of Finance and Controlling of Georg Fischer’s Piping Systems Division. Between 1999 and 2003, he was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Movenpick Holding AG. From 2003 until 2011, he was CFO and Head Corporate Center at Rieter Holding AG. After the spin-off of Autoneum Holding AG from Rieter Holding AG in 2011, Mr. Leinhaeuser was CFO and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Autoneum Holding AG until 2014. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ammann Group Holding AG (since 2013), Ascom Holding AG (since 2015), Burckhardt Compression Holding AG (since 2007) and Liechtensteinische Landesbank AG (since 2014). Since 2015, he is also Member of the Management Committee of the IFF-Institute at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). Further, since 2016, Mr. Leinhaeuser is a Partner at Adulco GmbH. Mr. Leinhauser holds a degree in business administration from the University of Applied Sciences, Zurich.

Karl Schlegel

Mr. Karl Schlegel has been Director at VAT Group Ltd since March 2016. He is Member of the Nomination and Compensation Committee at the Company. Mr. Schlegel rejoined the VAT Group as Member of the Board of Directors of VAT Holding AG from 2014 to 2016. Mr. Schlegel served as Chief Executive Officer of Hamilton Medical AG between 1997 and 2003. Between 2004 and 2013 he was Chief Executive Officer of VAT Group. Mr. Schlegel is also Member of the Foundation Board of Stiftung Arwole (a charity for individuals with disabilities, since 2014). Mr. Schlegel holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the medical engineering department of the University of Applied Sciences and Technology Buchs (NTB Interstaatliche Hochschule fuer Technik Buchs) and an Executive MBA from Universitaet St. Gallen.
