Name Description

Geir Isaksen

Mr. Geir Isaksen has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yara International ASA since May 8, 2018. He has been Director of the Company since May 13, 2013. He is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Norwegian State Railways (NSB) since 2011. Mr. Isaksen served as CEO of Cermaq ASA (previously Statkorn Holding ASA) from 1996 to 2011, where he led the comprehensive restructuring and IPO of the company. From 1995 to 1996, he was CEO of Statkorn AS. Prior to this he was the Brussels representative of the Norwegian Farmers Association (1993-1994); Trade Manager of AL Gartnerhallen (1986-1993); Research Fellow of the Agricultural University of Norway (now NMBU) (1985-1986). He holds Doctorate of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences.

Svein Holsether

Mr. Svein Tore Holsether has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Yara International ASA, effective as of September 9, 2015. Previously Mr. Holsether held the position as President and CEO of Sapa AS. Prior to this he was EVP M&A at Orkla 2010-2011, Business Area President of Sapa Asia & Middle East 2010, CFO of Sapa AB 2007-2010, CFO at Orkla Specialty Materials 2006-2007, CFO at Elkem ASA 2005-2006, CFO at Elkem ASA North American Division 2003-2005, and various positions within the Elkem group including Vice President Group Control, Group Controller, Group Financial Analyst 1997-2003. He holds Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Management from the University of Utah.

Maria Moraeus Hanssen

Mrs. Maria Moraeus Hanssen has been Vice Chairman of the Board of Yara International ASA since 2015. She has broad management experience and a strong industrial background within the oil and gas sector. She is CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG since January 2018. Before that she was CEO of ENGIE E&P International. She joined ENGIE E&P in 2014, first as the Managing Director for its Norwegian E&P affiliate, since October 2015 as CEO. Prior to that Mrs. Moraeus Hanssen spent five years as an Investment Director with Aker ASA (2008-2013). Before joining Aker ASA, she held various management roles in Norsk Hydro Oil and Energy as subsequently Statoil ASA, among these Head of Field Development NCS, Offshore Installation Manager Troll B and EVP Gas Supply and Transportation. Mrs. Moraeus Hanssen has a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and a Master degree in Petroleum Economics from Institut Francais du Petrole.

Petter Ostbo

Mr. Petter Ostbo has been Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Yara International ASA since March 21, 2018. He no longer serves as Executive Vice President, Production at the Company effective as of April 1, 2018. He has held the position since February 8, 2016. Mr. Ostbo has previously held several positions in the company. He was Head of Business Line Gas and Industrial Applications 2015-2016, Head of Industrial Nitrates & CO2 business units 2014-2015, Head of Industrial Nitrates Business Unit 2013-2014, and Head of Product Management & Optimization 2010-2013. Before joining Yara, Mr. Ostbo worked at McKinsey & Company, 2003-2010. He holds Master’s degree in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH, Sivilokonom) and One-year qualification in history at the University of Bergen (Grunnfag).

Kristine Ryssdal

Mrs. Kristine Ryssdal has been Executive Vice President, General Counsel at Yara International ASA since May 18, 2016. Before joining Yara, Mrs. Ryssdal held the position of Vice President Legal at Statoil 2012-2016. Prior to this, Ryssdal was Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Renewable Energy Corporation ASA 2008-2012, Senior Advisor Commercial & Legal Affairs at Norsk Hydro / Statoil Hydro 2006-2008, Legal Counsel at Norsk Hydro 1998-2006, and Attorney at the Attorney General’s office 1987-1998. She holds a Master of Laws degree from the London School of Economics, in addition to a Law degree from the University of Oslo.

Lene Trollnes

Mrs. Lene Trollnes has been Executive Vice President, People & Global Functions at Yara International ASA since September 1, 2016. Before joining Yara, Mrs. Trollnes held the position of EVP HR & Integration at Sapa 2013-2016. Prior to this she led the integration between Sapa and Hydro (2012-2013), and held several HR and management positions at Norsk Hydro between 1992-2013, including Senior VP HR, HSE & CSR Hydro Primary Metal 2010-2013, Senior VP HR & Organization HSE & CSR Hydro Extruded Products 2008-2010, and Senior VP HR & Organization Hydro Aluminum Products 2006-2008. She holds Bachelor degree in Management Sciences and Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology.

Tove Andersen

Ms. Tove Andersen has been appointed Executive Vice President, Production of Yara International ASA, effective as of April 1, 2018. She no longer serves as Executive Vice President, Supply Chain at the Company, effective as of April 1, 2018. She has held the position since February 8, 2016. Ms. Andersen has previously held several positions in the company. She was VP Supply Chain Europe 2014-2016, Vice President Marketing and New Business 2011-2013, Country Manager Yara UK/ Ireland 2006-2011, Director Specialities and Retail Marketing 2005-2006, Director Business Development and Alliances 2003-2005, Manager, Business Development, Finance and Analysis Hydro Agri 2000-2003, Business Facilitator 1999-2000. She was employed by Hydro in 1997 as a trainee. She holds Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Management Sandvika, Norway and a Master’s degree in physics and mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

Pablo Barrera Lopez

Mr. Pablo Barrera Lopez has been appointed Executive Vice President, Supply Chain at YARA INTERNATIONAL ASA effective as of April 1, 2018. His previous positions in the company include: Country Manager Yara Chile 2017-2018, Head of Corporate Strategy in Strategy & Business Development 2015-2016, Manager Strategy in Strategy & Business Development 2014-2015. Prior to joining Yara, Mr. Barrera worked at The Boston Consulting Group between 2009-2014. He holds a Master´s degree in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH).

Yves Bonte

Mr. Yves Bonte has served as Executive Vice President, Industrial at Yara International ASA since January 2010. Prior to joining the Company, he spent 17 years with the chemical company LyondellBasell and its predecessors, serving as Senior Vice President of Polypropylene Business based in Germany and the Netherlands (2007-2009), Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Asia, Middle East/Africa and Latin America, based in Hong Kong (2002-2006), and Head of Strategic Marketing (2000-2001), and held several marketing, supply chain and manufacturing positions (1992-1999). Prior to this, he worked five years for Exxon Chemical in Brussels. Mr. Bonte holds a post-graduate degree in Business Management and Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium (University of Leuven).

Lair Hanzen

Mr. Lair Hanzen has been Executive Vice President, Yara Brazil at Yara International ASA since February 8, 2016. He joined in 1996. Mr. Hanzen has held several positions in the Company. He was Manager Downstream/President Yara Brazil 2013-2016, Chief Financial Officer Upstream 2009-2013, VP and President Yara Brazil 2006-2009, Chief Financial Officer Yara Brazil 2000-2006, Chief Financial Officer Yara Argentina 1996-2000. Prior to joining Yara through the acquisition of Adubos Trevo, Lair held several management positions in fertilizer companies and other sectors. He holds MBA in International Business from the Argentinial Belgrano University and MBA in Strategic Business Administration from the Brazilian Lutheran University (ULBRA).

Terje Knutsen

Mr. Terje Knutsen has been Executive Vice President, Crop Nutrition (previously known as Downstream) at Yara International ASA since May 1, 2015. His previous positions in the company are SVP Business Unit Manager North and East Europe (2012–2015); Business Unit Manager Asia and President of Yara Asia Pte. Ltd (2006-2012); Vice President, Head of Downstream Marketing (2005-2006); Vice President, Head of Yara Specialties (2001-2005) and VP and Country Manager Spain and Portugal (1998-2001). In addition, he has held a number of commercial and management positions since joining the company in 1987 as a trainee. Mr. Knutsen holds Master’s degree from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen, Norway.

Terje Tollefsen

Mr. Terje Morten Tollefsen has been appointed Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Business Development Officer at Yara International ASA, effective as of June 1, 2016. He joined the Company in 1989. His previous positions in the company include: Senior VP Head of Strategy and Business Development 2010 - 2016, Business Unit Manager/President China 2005 - 2010, CFO Business Unit Asia 2002 - 2004. Before a two-year tenure (2000-2002) as Deputy Managing Director at a medium-sized, Oslo-based IT consultancy, Mr. Tollefsen held several commercial and management positions at Norsk Hydro, including Managing Director of Norsk Hydro (Hydro Agri) Indochina. He holds Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst, USA.

Kjersti Aass

Ms. Kjersti Aass has been Director, Employee Representative of Yara International ASA since May 10, 2016. She is Sustainability Development Director, Strategy & Business Development, Yara. Ms. Aass has been a Yara employee since 2013 where she started in the position Manager Global Initiatives in Strategy and Business Development before moving into the position of Business Improvement Manager in Environmental Sloutions, before taking on her current role in 2017. Ms. Aass has been on the Board of Tekna – The Norwegian Society of Graduate Technical and Scientific Professional – in Yara since 2013. Prior to working for Yara, she worked for Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders) in Afghanistan and Ethiopia, and as a Project Management consultant for Holte Consulting on a wide variety of projects within different industries, including telecom and construction. She holds Master of Science degree in Entrepreneurship – Industrial Economics and Technology Management, after Civil and Environmental Engineering studies, at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim.

Hilde Bakken

Mrs. Hilde Bakken has been Member of the Board of Directors of Yara International ASA since May 5, 2014. She is EVP Power Generation at Statkraft. She is also Board Member of Oslo Energy Forum and holds board positions in Swedish subsidiaries to Statkraft. Hilde Bakken has held various leadership roles in Statkraft within market and power production areas since 2000. Since 2010, Bakken has been part of Statkraft Executive management, from 2010 to 2013 as Chief of Staff and she has been Executive Vice President Power Generation, Statkraft. Since 2013, she has been responsible for Statkraft’s power generation activities in seven countries. She is also responsible for further development of Statkraft's hydropower concessions in North-West Europe. Before joining Statkraft, she was employed in Norsk Hydro and Conoco where she has held various management and engineering positions in operations and field development on the Norwegian continental shelf. Bakken has a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Trond Berger

Rune Bratteberg

Mr. Rune Asle Bratteberg has served as Employee Representative at the Board of Directors at Yara International ASA since 2012. He has been employee in the Company since 1986, currently in the position of Head of Chemical Compliance. He has held different IT and HESQ leadership positions within Hydro and Yara, from 2001 to 2009 as CIO. Mr. Bratteberg has been member of the Chemical Industry Advisory Board to SAP AG (2004-2009), and Chairman of the Board at the Scandinavian School of Brussels (2009-2011). He holds a degree in Information Technology from the Bergen Tekniske Hyskole, Norway, as well as a degree in Nordic Languages and History.

Geir Sundbo

Mr. Geir O. Sundbo has served as Employee Representative on the Board of Directors of Yara International ASA since 2010. He has been a Yara (Hydro) employee since 1987. He has been actively engaged in union matters in the Porsgrunn plant since 1989. He is Senior Shop Steward of Yara Porsgrunn. He is also Chairman of European Works Council (EWC), Yara International, Corporate employee representative of Yara International. He has also been member of the audit committee in the National Trade Union of Industry & Energy of Norway since 2010, Chairman since 2013.

John Thuestad

Mr. John Gabriel Thuestad has served as Member of the Board of Directors of Yara International ASA since May 5, 2014. He is SVP of Hydro Extruded Solutions, responsible for the Extrusion Europe since 2017. Before that, he had been EVP Sapa Extrusion Europe since 2013. From 2012 to 2013 he led Sapa Profiles with production plants in Europe, North America and China. From 2009 to 2012 he led Alcoa Global Primary Products with 40 locations in Australia, Latin America, Europe and North America. Thuestad has previously been CEO of Elkem AS and Elkem Aluminium AS. Prior to that, Thuestad was Managing Director of Norzink AS and Fundo AS. He served as Board Member/Chairman of Tyssefaldene AS (1997-200), Board Member of Borregaard AS (2005-2007), Statkraft/Groener AS (2000-2003) and as Officer of Alcoa Inc (2010-2011). Thuestad has a Master’s degree in Metallurgy from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and a MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. Thuestad is Member of the Executive Committee of the European Aluminium Association.

Thor Giaever

Mr. Thor Giaever has been appointed Head of Investor Relations at Yara International ASA, effective as of September 9, 2015. He was appointed Acting Chief Financial Officer of Yara International ASA for a period from October 13, 2014 until September 9, 2015. He previously was Head of Investor Relations and Company Secretary at the Company from May 2011 until October 13, 2014. He has experience from several positions in the Company, including Head of Controlling and Investor Relations Officer. He was Head of Controlling and CFO Supply & Trade. Before joining the Company, he held several controller positions with Ford Motor Company. He holds Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree from the School of Management, University of Bath.
