CF Industries Holdings, Inc., incorporated on April 15, 2005, is a manufacturer and distributor of nitrogen fertilizer, and other nitrogen products. The Company's nitrogen fertilizer products are ammonia, granular urea, urea ammonium nitrate solution (UAN) and ammonium nitrate (AN). Its other nitrogen products include diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), urea liquor, nitric acid and aqua ammonia, which are sold primarily to the Company's industrial customers, and compound fertilizer products (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium or NPKs). The Company's segments include ammonia, granular urea, UAN, AN and other.

The Company's ammonia segment produces anhydrous ammonia (ammonia), which is concentrated nitrogen fertilizer as it contains 82% nitrogen. It produces ammonia at the Company's nitrogen manufacturing complexes. The Company's granular urea segment produces granular urea, which contains 46% nitrogen. Granular urea is produced at Courtright, Ontario; Donaldsonville, Louisiana; Medicine Hat, Alberta, and Port Neal, Iowa nitrogen complexes.

The Company's UAN segment produces urea ammonium nitrate solution. UAN, a liquid fertilizer product with a nitrogen content that ranges from 28% to 32%, is produced by combining urea and ammonium nitrate. UAN is produced at the Company's nitrogen complexes in Courtright, Ontario; Donaldsonville, Louisiana; Port Neal, Iowa; Verdigris, Oklahoma; Woodward, Oklahoma, and Yazoo City, Mississippi. The AN segment produces ammonium nitrate (AN), which is a nitrogen-based product with a nitrogen content between 29% and 35%. AN is used as nitrogen fertilizer and is also used by industrial customers for commercial explosives and blasting systems. It is produced at the Company's nitrogen complexes in Yazoo City, Mississippi; and Ince and Billingham, United Kingdom.

The Company's Other segment includes DEF, urea liquor, nitric acid and NPKs. DEF is an aqueous urea solution typically made with 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% deionized water. Urea liquor is a liquid product that the Company sells in concentrations of 40%, 50% and 70% urea as a chemical intermediate. Nitric acid is a nitrogen-based product with a nitrogen content of 22.2%. Compound fertilizer products (NPKs) are solid granular fertilizer products for which the nutrient content is a combination of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.

The Company's primary nitrogen fertilizer products are ammonia, granular urea, UAN and AN. The Company's Donaldsonville nitrogen fertilizer complex is the nitrogen fertilizer production facility. The complex, which is located on the Mississippi River, includes deep-water docking facilities, access to an ammonia pipeline, and truck and railroad loading capabilities. The Woodward facility consists of an ammonia plant, two nitric acid plants, two urea plants and two UAN plants. The Yazoo City facility is located in central Mississippi.

The Company competes with Agrium Inc., Koch Fertilizer LLC, Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc, Yara International, Origin Fertilisers, Bunn Fertiliser Limited (Koch), Ameropa, CHS Inc. and Helm.
