Graham Corporation, incorporated on March 7, 1983, designs, manufactures and sells critical equipment for the energy, defense and chemical/petrochemical industries. The Company designs and manufactures custom-engineered ejectors, vacuum pumping systems, surface condensers and vacuum systems. The Company is also a nuclear code accredited fabrication and specialty machining company. It supplies components used inside reactor vessels and outside containment vessels of nuclear power facilities. Its equipment is found in other applications, such as metal refining, pulp and paper processing, water heating, refrigeration, desalination, food processing, pharmaceutical, heating, ventilating and air conditioning. For the defense industry, its equipment is used in nuclear propulsion power systems for the United States Navy. Its subsidiary, Energy Steel & Supply Co. (Energy Steel), is located in Lapeer, Michigan. Its subsidiary, Graham Vacuum and Heat Transfer Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (GVHTT), is located in Suzhou, China. GVHTT provides sales and engineering support for the Company in the People's Republic of China and management oversight throughout Southeast Asia.
The Company's products are used in a range of industrial process applications in energy markets, which consist of petroleum refining, including oil refining, and oil sands extraction and upgrading; defense, including propulsion systems for nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and submarines; chemical and petrochemical processing, including fertilizer plants and downstream petrochemical plants; power generation/alternative energy, including nuclear power generation and fossil fuel plants, and other, including soap manufacturing plants and food processing plants. Its customers include end-users of its products in their manufacturing, refining and power generation processes; engineering companies that build installations for companies in various industries, and the original equipment manufacturers, who combine its products with their equipment prior to its sale to end-users.
