Hubbell Incorporated (Hubbell), incorporated on May 10, 1905, is engaged in the design, manufacture and sale of electrical and electronic products for a range of non-residential and residential construction, industrial and utility applications. The Company's segments include Electrical and the Power. The Electrical segment consists of businesses that sell stock and custom products, including standard and special application wiring device products, rough-in electrical products, connector and grounding products, lighting fixtures and controls, components and assemblies for the natural gas distribution market, as well as other electrical equipment. The Power segment consists of operations that design and manufacture various distribution, transmission, substation and telecommunications products primarily used by the electrical utility industry. In addition, certain of these products are used in the civil construction and transportation industries.


The Electrical segment's products are used in and around industrial, commercial and institutional facilities by electrical contractors, maintenance personnel, electricians, utilities and telecommunications companies. In addition, certain businesses design and manufacture a range of high voltage test and measurement equipment, industrial controls and communication systems used in the non-residential and industrial markets. It also offers a range of lighting fixtures, wiring devices and electrical products that have residential and utility applications. These products are primarily sold through electrical and industrial distributors, home centers, retail and hardware outlets, lighting showrooms and residential product oriented Internet sites. Special application products are sold primarily through wholesale distributors to contractors, industrial customers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). High voltage products are sold primarily by direct sales to customers through its sales engineers.

The Electrical segment manufactures and sells various wiring and electrical products, lighting fixtures and controls for indoor and outdoor applications, as well as specialty lighting and communications products. The products within the segment have applications in the non-residential, residential, industrial, and energy-related (oil and gas) markets. These products include items, such as wiring devices and accessories, cable reels, switches and dimmers, steel and plastic enclosures, ground fault devices, pin and sleeve devices, high voltage test systems, electrical motor controls, canopy lights, parking lot/parking garage fixtures, decorative landscape fixtures, bollards, fluorescent fixtures, floodlights and poles, chandeliers and sconces, site and area lighting, mechanical connectors, gas connectors and assemblies, specialty communications equipment, mechanical grounding devices, installation tooling and compression connectors. These products are sold under various brands, including Hubbell, Bell, Raco, Gleason Reel, ACME Electric, Kellems, TayMac, Hipotronics, Powerohm, EC&M Design, Bryant, Wiegmann, Haefely, Kurt Versen, Litecontrol, Sportsliter Solutions, Columbia Lighting, Alera Lighting, Prescolite, Dual-Lite, Security Lighting Systems, Architectural Area Lighting, Burndy, Killark, GAI-Tronics, Gas Breaker, Hawke and Chalmit.


The Power segment's products are sold to distributors and directly to users, such as electric utilities, telecommunication companies, pipeline and mining operations, industrial firms, construction and engineering firms. Hubbell manufactures and sells a range of electrical distribution, transmission, substation utility and telecommunications products. These products include items, such as arresters, bushings, grounding and bonding equipment, cutouts and fuse links, insulators, programmable reclosers, pole line hardware, cable terminations and accessories, sectionalizers, helical anchors and foundations and formed wire products. These products are sold under various brands, including Ohio Brass, Chance, Anderson, PenCell, Fargo, Hubbell, Polycast, Opti-loop Design, Quazite, Trinetics, Reuel, Electro Composites, USCO, CDR, RFL Design, Hot Box, PCORE and Delmar.
