Kimberly-Clark Corporation, incorporated on June 29, 1928, is engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of a range of products made from natural or synthetic fibers. The Company's segments include Personal Care, Consumer Tissue, K-C Professional and Corporate & Other. The Company sells its products to supermarkets, mass merchandisers, drugstores, warehouse clubs, variety and department stores, and other retail outlets. It sells its products for away-from-home use through distributors and directly to manufacturing, lodging, office building, food service and public facilities. As of December 31, 2016, the Company and its equity companies had manufacturing facilities in 38 countries, and it sold products in more than 175 countries. The Company's business outside North America includes Developing and Emerging Markets (D&E) and Developed Markets. D&E markets consist of Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific, excluding Australia and South Korea. Its Developed Markets consist of Western and Central Europe, Australia and South Korea.
The Company's Personal Care segment offers various solutions and products, such as disposable diapers, training and youth pants, swimpants, baby wipes, feminine and incontinence care products, and other related products. The Company sells its Personal Care segment products under Huggies, Pull-Ups, Little Swimmers, GoodNites, DryNites, Kotex, U by Kotex, Intimus, Depend, Plenitud, Poise and other brand names.
The Company's Consumer Tissue segment offers products, such as facial and bathroom tissue, paper towels, napkins and related products. The Company sells its Consumer Tissue segment products under Kleenex, Scott, Cottonelle, Viva, Andrex, Scottex, Neve and other brand names.
The Company's K-C Professional segment offers solutions and supporting products, such as wipers, tissue, towels, apparel, soaps and sanitizers. The Company sells its K-C Professional segment products under Kleenex, Scott, WypAll, Kimtech and Jackson Safety brand names.
