Univar Inc., incorporated on November 21, 1974, is a global chemical and ingredient distributor and provider of value-added services. The Company operates through four segments: Univar USA (USA); Univar Canada (Canada); Univar Europe and the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Rest of World. The Company's USA segment supplies a range of commodity and specialty chemicals, as well as services to range of end markets, including manufacturing and industrial production sectors in the United States. In the United States, it services these multiple end markets with one-to-three day order times from nearby facilities. It repackages and blends bulk chemicals for shipment by its transportation fleet, as well as common carriers.

The Company's Canadian operations are regionally focused, supplying a range of commodity and specialty chemicals to the local customer base. In Eastern Canada, it primarily focuses on industrial markets, such as food ingredients and products, pharmaceutical ingredients and finished products, coatings and adhesives, and chemical manufacturing. The Company also services the cleaning and sanitation, personal care, mining, and oil and gas markets. In Western Canada, it focuses on forestry, chemical manufacturing, mining, and oil and gas markets, including midstream gas pipeline, oil sands processing and oil refining. It also serves the agriculture end market. In agriculture, it formulates and distributes crop protection and fertilizer products to independent retailers and specialty applicators servicing the agricultural end markets in both Western Canada and Eastern Canada and it provides support services to agricultural chemical producers throughout the country. Its EMEA segment caters to pharmaceutical products and ingredients, food, coating and adhesives, and personal care industries. The Rest of World segment includes developing businesses in Latin America, including Brazil and Mexico, and the Asia-Pacific region.

The Company's distribution services include inventory management, product knowledge, and mixing, blending and repackaging. The Company's Value-Added Services include minibulk and remote monitoring, specialized blending, chemcare and environmental response services, and chempoint. Its global distribution network permits to stock products locally to enhance delivery, providing outsourced inventory management to its customers in a range of end markets. It provides customers with after-market support and consultation. It provides its customers with a range of blending and repackaging services for its customers and in the agriculture industry for producers.

The Company's MiniBulk is a storage and delivery system for customers receiving less than full truckload quantities of chemicals. Its remote telemetry systems permit around-the-clock access to inventory information. The Company utilizes its blending and mixing capabilities to create chemical formulations for agriculture and oil and gas products through its Future Group and Magnablend blending services. The ChemCare waste management service collects both hazardous and non-hazardous waste products at customer locations in the United States and Canada. ChemCare reviews each waste profile, recommends disposal alternatives to the customer and offers transportation of the waste to the appropriate waste disposal company. Hazardous and non-hazardous waste management technologies provided from its treatment storage and disposal facility vendors include recycling, incineration, fuels blending, lab packing, landfill, deep well injection and waste-to-energy. The Company also provides its customers with industrial cleaning, site remediation and emergency environmental response services.

ChemPoint is its distribution business that facilitates the marketing and sales of specialty and fine chemicals, operating principally in North America and EMEA. ChemPoint is primarily focused on connecting producers to customers on relatively small volumes of chemicals. It offers an integrated, digital marketing and sales process that is powered by technologies. It operates over 100 distribution facilities throughout North America, Western Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
