Petro Rio SA, formerly known as HRT Participacoes em Petroleo SA, is a Brazil-based holding company engaged in the oil and gas industry. Through its subsidiaries, the Company is mainly involved in the exploration and production (E&P) of oil and natural gas in Brazil and overseas. The Firm focuses on managing reserves and redeveloping mature production fields located on land (onshore) and in the sea (offshore). The Company’s activities include also discovering fields of oil or/and natural gas through seismic and geological studies, evaluation of discoveries, development of projects and implementation of the necessary infrastructure and commercialization of products. The Company operates through a number of subsidiaries, including Brasoil Manati Exploracao Petrolifera SA, Petro Rio Internacional SA and Petro Rio O&G Exploracao e Producao de Petroleo Ltda, among others.
