Company Information
Vulcan Materials Company is a supplier of construction aggregates and a producer of asphalt mix and ready-mixed concrete. The Company operates through four segments: Aggregates, Asphalt, Concrete and Calcium. The Aggregates segment produces and sells aggregates, such as crushed stone, sand and gravel, sand, and other aggregates, and related products and services. The Asphalt segment produces and sells asphalt mix in Alabama, Arizona, California, New Mexico, Tennessee and Texas, and includes asphalt construction in Alabama, Tennessee and Texas. The Concrete segment produces and sells ready-mixed concrete in California, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia. The Calcium segment consists of a Florida facility that mines, produces and sells calcium products for the animal feed, plastics and water treatment industries. It sells aggregates that are used as ballast for the construction and maintenance of railroad tracks.
