Air Up Joins Global Health Campaign: Revolutionizing Hydration for a Healthier World

In an era where global health challenges continue, air up, a leading innovator in sustainable hydration, has joined the Global Health Campaign, aimed at addressing pressing health concerns. The World Health Organization (WHO) has identified various health issues, including diabetes, as significant contributors to global mortality rates. As these challenges persist, air up is committed to combating them head-on.

Recent data reveals a concerning trend: sugar consumption per person has surged from 30g in the 1970s to a staggering 50g in 2022. These statistics starkly contrast with the WHO's recommendation that ideal added sugar intake should be less than 25g per person, constituting less than 10% of daily calorie consumption. In practical terms, this translates to an ideal daily intake of no more than the equivalent of six sugar cubes.

As a company dedicated to minimizing people’s sugar intake, air up is uniquely positioned to contribute to this global health initiative. Their innovative product infuses flavor into water using scent, encouraging individuals to drink more water while enjoying their favorite flavors. This approach aligns perfectly with promoting a health-conscious diet.

The participation of air up in the Global Health Campaign aims to leverage their innovative technology and commitment to sustainability to empower individuals to make healthier choices. By making hydration more enjoyable and accessible, air up aims to motivate people to stay hydrated and make better dietary choices. By encouraging the use of reusable bottles, air up is not only helping individuals but also contributing to a cleaner and healthier planet.

Lena Jüngst, Co-Founder and Chief Evangelist of air up, states: "After all, drinking tap water is and remains the most sustainable solution! However, many people have trouble drinking the recommended amount of water because they simply do not like the taste of pure water. Or, rather, they dislike the lack of it. For those people, we've opened a whole new category in the beverage segment with our fragrance-based drinking system: flavorful, additive-free, sugar-free, and nonsense-free. Unlike other flavored beverages such as infused water, air up separates the flavor from the water. This is based on the physiological phenomenon of retronasal smelling."
