Twenty-five years ago, when LKQ was first formed, its founders realized a need to keep end-of-life vehicles out of landfills. As end-of-life vehicles still incurred value, they developed sustainable business practices to salvage and remanufacture automotive parts, recovering fluids and other caustic materials and recycling or repurposing the materials, creating a pathway to circularity.

Today, LKQ is the leader in automotive parts salvage and remanufacturing, and is investing time and resources to expand its geographic footprint, such as through their recent acquisitions of Green Bean Battery in the U.S. and Rhenoy in The Netherlands and Poland. These are just two examples of how LKQ is committed to finding new ways to contribute to a circular economy.

LKQ’s purpose statement is: “Improving the world one part at a time.” LKQ, with its vast array of cost-effective and sustainable automotive parts and services, is setting its sights on a viable future for all their customers by keeping you moving.
