PLEASE NOTE: THIS EDIT CONTAINS CONVERTED 4:3 MATERIAL Showing its stripes at Cuba's Ciego de Avila Zoo, a six-day-old zebroid. A cross between a zebra and a donkey, the animal was bred naturally when a female zebra lived alongside a pair of donkeys. Zoo vet Randol Delgado Fernandez says the zebroid is a precious addition. SOUNDBITE: Ciego de Avila Zoo veterinarian, Randol Delgado Fernandez, saying (Spanish): "It is an extremely valuable animal in the world which would sell for thousands of euros. Such specimens are extremely rare and are usually very difficult to obtain, so it has been a huge success that we have managed to make his birth possible." The colt has yet to be named, but it's sure to include something about stripes. Tara Cleary, Reuters.
