EDITORS PLEASE NOTE: THIS EDIT CONTAINS MATERIAL THAT WAS ORIGINALLY 4:3 Supporters of deposed Egytian President Mohammed Mursi defiantly hold night prayers in Cairo, just hours after the army-backed government said they could soon act to end weeks of sit-in protests. Muslim Brotherhood supporters at the vigils said they would not stop rallying for the ousted leader. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) VOLUNTEER AT PROTEST SAEED EL-MISTAKAWI, SAYING: "We pay no attention to the statements of the interior minister or the foreign minister, nor do we care whether America or Europe is with us or against us. What concerns me is the steadfastness in remaining in this place, and God willing we will be victorious." In a televised statement, the interim cabinet denounced the vigils as "terrorist acts" and a "threat to Egyptian national security", and said it had decided to "put an end to them". This could potentially lead to a bloody showdown with the Muslim Brotherhood, which has vowed to keep up its street vigils until Mursi is reinstated.
