What better way to say "I love you" than with coffee...lattes to be exact. At this Family Mart in Taiwan, coffee chain Let's Cafe served up the java drinks topped off with couples' photos in honor of the Chinese equivalent of Valentine's Day. Forty-five-year-old Chen Tsung-yuan was first in line. (SOUNDBITE) (Mandarin) 45-YEAR-OLD ELECTRICITY COMPANY WORKER CHEN TSUNG-YUAN SAYING: "I saw the information in the news that introduced this event, and I also read it in the papers this morning. So I brought my wife here in the morning to wait in line. I wanted to be here early and turned out to be the first one. I'm very happy to be the first one." A couples' photo is taken and then printed with a specialized latte printer. Five minutes and $45 New Taiwan Dollars or one and a half U.S. dollars later... and presto! Love commemorated on your favorite beverage. Kao Hui-yuan enjoyed the drink with her boyfriend. (SOUNDBITE) (Mandarin) 19-YEAR-OLD STUDENT KAO HUI-YUAN SAYING: "When I drank it, I felt warmth in my heart, it's very sweet. Also, there is only one store that offers this service. It is very special." Let's Cafe is testing the pixelated lattes' appeal. And if more customers feel like Hui-yuan, the chain may offer the service for other special occasions.
