Hollywood A-lister Harrison Ford has been injured after the plane he was flying crash-landed on a golf course in Venice California. Officials say the vintage aircraft clipped a tree shortly after taking off from Santa Monica Airport. LA Fire Department officials described the scene. (SOUNDBITE) (English) LOS ANGELES FIRE DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT CHIEF PATRICK BUTLER, SAYING: "They found a single-engine plane aircraft, that had had a medium to high impact in the ground, with one male victim, approximately 70 years old, who at the time was conscious, and breathing. The male victim was initially rescued by some bystanders that were here on the golf course." Witnesses reported hearing a loud noise and saw people on the golf course assisting in the rescue. (SOUNDBITE) (English) EYEWITNESS TO CRASH AFTERMATH CARLOS GOMEZ, SAYING: "and when I came outside, that's when I saw the guy and the airplane, but some people in the park were helping the guy, pull him out from the plane." Although officials did not confirm it was Ford onboard the aircraft, sources close to the investigation said it was indeed the 72-year-old actor. In a Twitter posting, Ford's son, Ben, said "At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered but ok!" Ford was taken to a nearby hospital where officials say he is in fair to moderate condition.
