ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: In 2014 when British boy band 'The Wanted' announced they were taking a break, group member Nathan Sykes was just 20-years-old and not ready to stop making music. "I was like I am too young to stop doing what I love. So I was like, I'm just going to go back into the studio and make music," said Sykes. After five years of singing pop tunes the English singer is going in a new direction. He has worked with producers and songwriters Harmony Samuels, Babyface and Diane Warren to craft a new sound."It's a lot more soulful than what I've done before," he said. Sykes is part of a surge of British singers finding success outside of the UK and said he thinks there is "enough room for everyone", adding that he hopes that people will listen to his music with an open mind. His first official single "Kiss Me Quick," will be released in the U.S. and Canada on June 9 and in the UK on June 28. His debut album will be released this fall.
