This humanoid has stage presence and shine. Created in a lab at the Technical College of Berlin, Myon the robot is now the star of "My Square Lady,"...where it learns, first hand, about the glitz and glam of the Berlin Opera. As artist Johanna Freiburg explains, it's a professional place to create feelings: (SOUNDBITE) (English) MEMBER OF ARTIST COLLECTIVE 'GOB SQUAD' WHO ORGANIZED PERFORMANCE, JOHANNA FREIBURG, SAYING: "For us, the robot is a means to look at ourselves as humans, and ask the question: what makes us a human And what differentiates us from a machine or an object. And empathy and the ability to feel are quite crucial, I think, to do that. Looking at the robot we reflect on ourselves." Over time, Myon is taught the perfect pitch. But copying what it sees and hears is only one piece to the puzzle... it can never learn raw emotion. All great ones fall, and in this robot's case, broken apart with the Opera's passion.
