The actor who played the child version of Anakin Skywalker in 1999's "Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace" was arrested in South Carolina on June 17. Jake Broadbent, also known as Jake Lloyd, was charged with resisting arrest, after leading police on a high-speed chase that ended when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with some trees. According to a statement released by the Colleton County Sheriff's Office, after officers attempted to pull over Broadbent, the former actor sped up, started passing cars and "driving in a reckless manner...and endangering the safety of the motoring public." In addition to "The Phantom Menace," Broadbent also starred in 1996's "Jingle All the Way," opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger.
