It's the long awaited documentary about one of Britain's biggest musical talents. Stars including Ozzy and Sharone Osbourne and Rumer WIllis turned out for the North American premiere of "AMY" - the Amy Winehouse story. Award-winning director Asif Kapadia made the film using home videos, news reports and television performances from her childhood through to her death in 2011. He interviewed around 100 of her friends, family and colleagues. SOUNDBITE "AMY" director, Asif Kapadia, saying (English): "One by one as I earned their trust and they started to open up and tell me about Amy and their relationship with Amy, then they started saying 'Well, I have these photographs, I have these videos, I have these answer phone messages and the visual side came secondary." While the critics have given the film the thumbs up her dad Mitch isn't so keen and has asked for his and his family's name be taken off the credits. SOUNDBITE "AMY" producer, James Gay-Rees, saying (English): "It's great to part of the process whereby hopefully we're re-educating people about her because she really deserves the credit that we're trying to give with her in this movie because she was amazing and people like that don't come along very often and when they do, you've got to cherish them but unfortunately we didn't so it's great to basically go back and set the record straight a little bit." Amy is released in theatres in the UK, The UK and Ireland on July 3rd.
