This is the man suspected of stabbing at least six people at Jerusalem's Gay Pride march. And this is his suspected weapon. A police spokeswoman on Thursday said this wasn't the man's first run-in with the law. Officials say the alleged assailant stabbed three marchers at a similar event in 2005. This attack came as about 5,000 people were marching through the devoutly religious city for the annual event. Of the six injured, two were taken to the hospital in serious condition. Participants struggled to come to terms with the attack. (SOUNDBITE) (English) AMI, JERUSALEM RESIDENT, SAYING: "Some people were stabbed by person in the beginning of the parade and feelings are very difficult, very hard feelings." The parade has long been a focus of tension in Jerusalem between the secular majority and the ultra-Orthodox Jewish minority who object to public displays of homosexuality.
