ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Marvel Comics' comedic character Deadpool has been unveiled in a new trailer released by 20th Century Fox and, as fans might expect, it is full of profanities. The character, known as the 'Merc(enary) with the Mouth' for his constant chatting and breaking of the fourth wall in the comics, has been a big hit with fans since making his debut in X-Men spin-off The New Mutants back in February 1991. Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds first played the iconic character in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' in 2009, but many were left disappointed after his mouth was sewn up and he seemed unrecognisable as the anti-hero of the comic books. After considerable fan pressure, Reynolds has returned to the role. Reynolds tweeted in February, "People keep thanking me for getting Deadpool made. I didn't get it made. YOU did. The internet put Fox in a hammerlock death-grip". The trailer shows the origin story of the character, as cancer-striken Wade Wilson is transformed into the killing machine with self-healing abilities. It also shows his comic book connection to The X-Men with appearances from both Colossus (Andre Tricoteux) and the little-known Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand). 'Deadpool' is scheduled for release in February 2016.
