After 44 years, Broadway is set to welcome the play "Old Times" back with Clive Owen, Eve Best and Kelly Reilly. The revival, written by Nobel Prize Winner Harold Pinter, will be directed by actor Douglas Hodge, who will also be making his Broadway directorial debut. SOUNDBITE: Douglas Hodge, director, saying (English): "Well I've worked with Pinter for more or less ten years, almost exclusively really. So he was a great mentor, a great friend, almost a father figure to me. And I've loved this play, never seen it, never been done here for 30 years. I think it's probably one of the best plays in the last 50 years." The premise of the play is based on jealously which develops into a love triangle. The three person play is described as a "haunting and passionate." SOUNDBITE: Clive Owen, actor, saying (English): "It's a great piece of writing. It's a really stunning piece of writing and three great parts. You know, I love the part ." Although veterans of the stage, the production will serve as Owen and Reilly's Broadway debuts, with Reilly making her return to the stage after a seven year hiatus. SOUNDBITE: Kelly Reilly, actress, saying (English): "I've never done actually anything like this and I've never played a character quite like the character I'm playing. So I think it's the gallant, the challenge of doing something you've never done before and you're excited about. The 'can I do it, what's that going to be like.' And then hearing that Clive and I'm such a huge fan of Eve, she is one of England's great stage actresses, so to get to work with her is pretty cool." Like Hodge, Best also had a personal relationship with Pinter, who suggested to her she play the role of Anna at some point. When asked why she thought Pinter fingered her for the role, she could only speculate. SOUNDBITE: Eve Best, actress, saying (English): "I don't know the answer to that and perhaps I shouldn't know the answer to that because, you know, I'd start becoming too self conscious about what it is that I have that is close to the character, I don't know." "Old Times" will officially open on October 6 with a limited run until November 29.
