Kuala Lampur was awash in yellow as thousands of demonstrators gather for a two day anti-government rally. Shouting BEAR-SAY "bersih", a Bahasa Malaysia word meaning clean, they're demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Najib Razak over a graft scandal involving a multi-million-dollar payment to an account under his name. A government anti-graft agency has said the money was a donation from the Middle East, but have not identified the donor. Residents say they just want to know the truth. (SOUNDBITE) (English) PROTESTER, TOH HARN NIANN SAYING: "I want to make a statement by my presence today that I'm very concerned with the situation right now, and I still love my country." The 62-year-old Najib has denied any wrongdoing and says he did not take any money for personal gain. He has however tightened his grip on power through a series of steps to sideline would-be dissenters.
