ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) The cast of "Tanna", a film about forbidden love set in the South Pacific island of Vanuatu, performed a well-appreciated song and dance routine ahead of the film's Venice Film Festival premiere. "Tanna" set in the South Pacific island of Vanuatu premiered in Venice on Tuesday (September 8). The film was made by Australian documentary-makers, Bentley Dean and Martin Butler, and based around the love of Wawa (Marie Wawa) and Dain (Mungau Dain). The pair are deeply in love with one another, but Wawa is placed under pressure to marry a man from a rival tribe in a symbolic attempt to bring the warring groups closer together. However, Wawa and Dain flee and try to live together in various parts of the island, while they are pursued by their own tribe and the rival Imedin group.
