Hollywood star Johnny Depp and British actor Benedict Cumberbatch hit the red carpet in London on Sunday (October 07) for the screening of their latest film "Black Mass" at the London Film Festival. In the film, The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor plays Irish-American gangster James "Whitey" Bulger in the movie. The film looks at Bulger's reign as the boss of the Irish-American underworld and the connections he forged with the FBI, which used him as a paid informer in order to crack down on the rival Italian-American mafia. SOUNDBITE Johnny Depp saying (English): "With Bulger, I felt that the most pure approach was to approach him as a man." Depp also described his experience working with the co-star Benedict Cumberbatch, who he called a brother. SOUNDBITE Johnny Depp saying (English): "Benedict is one of the most talented actors out there without question certainly. But he is also, you know, he's not looking for spotlight as some actors do. He came in and did such a terrific job." The film also stars Joel Edgerton and Dakota Johnson. "Black Mass," which is already playing to U.S. audiences, opens in the UK in November.
