ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) A passenger train collided with a heavy goods vehicle at a railway crossing in northern Bavaria late on Thursday (November 5) killing two people and injuring several others, police said. German police said the heavy goods vehicle had been transporting a US military vehicle. The train was carrying around 50 people when it rammed into the lorry near Freihung, northeast of Nuremberg. According to reports, police said the train had hurtled at 100 km per hour (62 miles per hour) straight into the truck. The Romanian driver of the heavy goods vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, Bueck said, while the train driver, who at first was missing in the wreckage, was also found dead.
