A toilet-themed cafe has opened its doors to the public in Moscow with furniture and tableware dedicated to all things lavatorial. The Crazy Toilet Cafe delivers just what the name promises - toilet-themed food in lavatory and urinal shaped bowls. Visitors to the cafe are seated on real toilets while they eat and can look at art work showing cartoon characters going to the toilet. The cafe is already drawing curious customers who say the faecal nature of the theme has not put them off their meal. SOUNDBITE: Anastasia, cafe visitor, saying (Russian): "In general, yes, everything is delicious. There is a great atmosphere, it is relaxing and funny." SOUNDBITE: Milana, cafe visitor, saying (Russian): "This is truly unusual for Moscow, I have never seen anything like it before. But it is fascinating and is interesting to visit and try. And in general one can return again because the food here is delicious." Although owner Alexander Donskoy has owned other cafes, he says this is his most novel and is garnering great interest, especially among children. The Crazy Toilet Cafe is not the only one in the world, with similarly themed eateries in Taiwan and China. Donskoy says he hopes to give his cafe a Russian spin to it. The cafe's menu is affordable and stays true to its name, with some courses looking very close to the theme, including brown mushroom soup and swirled sausage.
