In a career spanning over 50 years Burt Reynolds has pretty much done it all. From a macho man tackling rapids in a canoe in "Deliverance" to a pornography filmmaker in "Boogie Nights". But in an interview promoting his memoir "But Enough About Me" - the 79-year-old says his greatest performance is yet to come: SOUNDBITE actor Burt Reynolds, saying (English): "It's yet to come. We'll see. I think I have a performance in me. It's a good one. But I don't know if I'll get that script, I'm hoping." Meanwhile it was his decision not to play James Bond that he says is his biggest regret. SOUNDBITE actor Burt Reynolds, saying (English): "Well you drive yourself crazy if you do that but I drive myself crazy all the time, thinking of it, I shouldn't have turned down the James Bond. I thought an American couldn't play but I think I could have done it. I was very flattered that Cubby [Producer Albert Broccoli] wanted me to do it. I wish I had of now. I wouldn't have any regrets, I don't think, and I'd be rich. Can't be all that bad. And all those girls, my gosh, those beautiful women." Looking to the future though - there's a certain director he would like to work with: SOUNDBITE actor Burt Reynolds, saying (English): "Yeah [Steven] Spielberg, I'd like to work with him. I have a feeling that he would like to work with me. We've talked on occasion, and he's been very kind and complimentary. But he's the one that comes to mind right away.'' Fingers crossed for a Reynolds / Speilburg collaboration!
