ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) The girlfriend of the man shot and killed by Minnesota police during a traffic stop said 32-year-old Philando Castile did nothing to threaten or intimidate the officer. Diamond Reynolds was in the car at the time. She recorded and broadcast the aftermath of the shooting live on Facebook. She spoke to reporters on Thursday. Castile's death came hours after the U.S. Justice Department said it had opened an investigation into Tuesday's fatal shooting of a black man in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by two police officers. The Justice Department said it was assessing the Minneapolis area incident but did not say if it would start a formal investigation into whether excessive force was used.
