Chaos outside New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport after it was evacuated... Shots were reportedly heard on Sunday night in Terminal 8's departure area, but preliminary investigations have found no evidence gunfire took place. The port authority has said no gun casings were found. After being evacuated, passengers told local media what they knew... (SOUNDBITE) (English) WOMAN WHO WAS EVACUATED FROM AIRPORT, TRACY ANN MALONEY, SAYING: "Apparently, someone started shooting from the top of the terminal near ticketing. And then people just started rushing through the terminal, bypass security, and pushed their way in. So they don't know if the person that was shooting ended up inside or what. And then the Port Authority started running around with all of these guns. And then eventually they just told us to get out." (SOUNDBITE) (English) NEW YORKER, DOUG, SAYING: " was on a plane going to Vegas. They cancelled the flight and made us get off and run out of the airport." (SOUNDBITE) (English) CALIFORNIAN, RIGA SEKANDER, SAYING: "They said there was some shooting. But I know absolutely nothing. I didn't hear anything. I was inside the plane. And they cancelled the flights and they told everybody to get out." Security measures stayed in place hours after the scare.
