Firefighters battle a blaze at a garment packaging factory just outside the capital of Bangladesh. Local media say at least 21 people have been killed. The cause of the fire was not immediately known. It broke out in the morning, just before the start of the working day. About 100 people were in the building at the time. The director of fire and civil defence has said firefighters will only enter to search for more bodies once the fire is out. At the local hospital, relatives are desperate for news. "I am looking for my brother," this man says. "I haven't heard from him since this morning." Readymade garments are the mainstay of Bangladesh's economy. In 2013, more than a thousand workers died when a garment factory collapsed on top of them.
